Alex Barber was born and raised in Southern California where the sea and mountains were readily accessible all his life. Surfing, spearfishing and mountaineering always held his undivided attention. Alex moved to Lake Arrowhead from his suburban hometown at the age of 19 to be closer to the mountains. In his free time Alex enjoys traveling, surfing new breaks, splitboarding and climbing throughout the Sierras and Cascades.
