Katy Laveck , Mountain Guide, RMI Expeditions

Katy grew up hiking the mountains of Colorado and diving Florida’s coral reefs. She discovered a passion for mountaineering after moving to Washington in 2002 and honed her skills in the Northwest ranges. Katy has lived in New Zealand and Mexico, and began her guiding career as a Sea Kayak Guide while living in Hawaii. Katy has been guiding for RMI since 2008. When not climbing, Katy enjoys backcountry skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, surfing, traveling, playing her ukulele, and photography. You can view some of Katy's photography work here. Occasionally, Katy can be found studying toward her degree in marine biology. In the past, Katy has spent the winter ski patrolling in Montana.
