Nick Brown, Mountain Guide, RMI Expeditions

Nick grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. He spent much of his youth backpacking, camping, canoeing and enjoying the outdoors. Nick began rock climbing in 2004 and has climbed sport and traditional routes throughout Virginia, West Viriginia, Colorado and Japan. His introduction to mountaineering was among Colorado’s 14,000’ peaks. He later received Advanced Winter Mountaineering training in the Sierra Nevada. Nick studied Environmental Science and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in college and just returned from working overseas in Okinawa, Japan. As a new member of the RMI team, he is thrilled to be working on Mount Rainier and getting to know the Pacific Northwest. In Nick’s spare time he enjoys exploring the outdoors and all sorts of activities that elevate his heart rate.
