Peter Schoene
Peter grew up in
Seattle, climbing in the Cascades with his family. He first climbed Mount Rainier at age 13, and was hooked on mountaineering and
climbing. Since then, he has traveled extensively in search of the perfect climb. In 2005, he graduated from Bowdoin College in
Maine with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Comparative Religion. At Bowdoin, he was an active teacher and leader in the Bowdoin
Outing Club Leadership Training Program, earning him the James S Lentz Outdoor Leadership award. He put these skills to use teaching
wilderness leadership and guiding in the Tetons, Sierras, Olympics, and in Alaska. He spends his non-guiding time climbing and
paddling with his family and friends.
