Tyler Jones

Tyler started guiding with RMI in 2003 and has made guiding and climbing a full time pursuit. He attended school at MSU Bozeman collage of nursing and attended a year of guide school in Kamloops, British Columbia. Tyler started skiing at 18 months and climbing when he was 13. His climbing on Mount Rainier has seen him on 8 different routes with over 61 summits. He has guided many winter and summer seminars as well as Denali. His first Denali trip was at age 17 and has since been on 8 other Alaska expeditions having soloed the West Buttress Denali, linked Denali’s Cassin Ridge with the Muldrow Traverse, as well as ski and climbing on other area peaks. Tyler has spent significant time in the Canadian Rockies climbing hard ice and alpine routes as well as skiing, calling Canada home for the winter season. He has rock climbed multi-pitch and big wall rock routes throughout North America. Tyler spends 12 months a year pursuing inspiration in the mountains. His humor, technical skills, safety awareness, and attitude will lead you to a safe and memorable trip. Tyler guided his fourth expedition to Denali’s summit this May. Her is in pursuit of his full Mountain Guide Certification through the AMGA.
