Update:  5:56 am PT
It’s a little bit of the high camp blues up here at 19,600 feet on a Sunday afternoon. Will someone please magically tell us what’s going on in the nfl?!

The winds are still strong but we are having more lulls which is a good sign. Now it’s a waiting game. We need the winds to be reasonable to make a safe summit attempt. And if there is one thing Aconcagua is known for…it’s wind.

We are hoping for the best!

Hey Everyone -
This is Team 2 up at High Camp on Aconcagua at 19,600’, I am trying not to yell right now, but if you hear that noise, that is the wind.  As I speak the tent walls are slapping me in the face. We did not go the summit today, it definitely was way too windy.  But the word on the street, is the winds are supposed to die down later this evening and through tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed.  Everyone here is doing really well.  We are making the best out of a windy day .  Keeping some hot drinks going for the gang and making some breakfast.  We will be hanging out and making sure these tents don’t go any where.  Thanks for following along.  Everyone is safe and sound, we will check in later, hopefully with some good news tomorrow.

Good luck team!!!  We are praying for calm winds, and a safe summit tomorrow.  You all should be extremely proud of the trek you made and the accomplishment you are only hours away from.  Can’t wait to see your pictures at the top.

Josh - finish strong!!!  Everyone from TN to Oxford to IL is cheering you to victory!!!  We managed to get the baby calf and momma into the barn this afternoon.  It’s a bull calf and weighs about 40-45 pounds.  He’s a jewel.  Abd in honor of you his name is Summit!

We are so proud of you!!!  Keep your head up and see you at the top.

Love you - Jess

Also, update on the Lions and vikings game. Lions lost agian, no surprise there….lol.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year and a safe summit. Zoot and Ruby miss you bunches!!

Ravens 9, Bengals 17
Texans, 7, Titans 13

Patroits have cilinched the AFC East, Cincinnati clinched the AFC North, Colts have clinched AFC South, Broncos clinched AFC West, The NFC sucks and haven’t clinched anything. Carolina, Seattle and San Fran are wild cards.

Broncos are number one seed. Oh yea!

Hi team!!!  So glad to hear you are safe and sound.  I hate to hear the winds are so bad.  Hopefully the winds are better tomorrow so that you can finish your ascend.  Sending lots of encouragement and support from Tennessee!!

Josh - you’ll be excited to hear that we have the first baby calf of the season.  It’s adorable and tiny.  We named it summit!!!  Well weigh it and determine the sex this afternoon and keep you posted.  There is one more that should be born anytime.  We sure do miss you here, but are sending lots of love and encouragement your way.  Stay positive and it’s almost summit time.

We love you and anxiously await the good news.  Jess
