GOMBU SHERPA TRIBUTE
On June 3, 2012, there will be a Tribute to Nawang Gombu Sherpa. Gombu was the first person to summit Mt. Everest twice, a long time RMI Guide, and a prominent member of the Sherpa community. The event will be held at the Paradise Inn at Mt. Rainier from 4 - 11 pm. If you are in the area, we hope you can join RMI, the Whittaker family, and friends of Gombu to celebrate his legacy.
