We woke early this morning to beautifully clear skies, and fired up the stoves. After an efficient breakfast, we took down camp and packed up. It was a chilly morning, the coldest we've seen thus far (-10F), plus it was the earliest that we got out of the tents so far this trip.
We had beautiful weather and great climbing conditions all the way to the Genet Basin Camp at 14,200 ft, where we currently reside. It was a hard day with heavy packs, and everyone did well. After six hours of climbing at altitude with heavy packs we're all ready for some dinner and then some horizontal time in the tents. Tomorrow we will go back to 13,700' to pick up the cache we left there two days ago.

You’re almost there, Baba!!! Meanwhile, Heidi and I are mastering the choreography to Childish Gambino. We almost have it down. I don’t know where we get to perform it, but I’m sure it’ll come in handy. We miss you so much!!! We can’t wait to give you lots of hugs and kisses. In the meantime, you’ll have to snuggle up to Shane. May your beards keep you cozy. Yay!

Thanks for the latest update. Great news to learn that everyone is doing well, Go Team Walter!! Likewise excellent that the weather and conditions continue to be great for climbing.
It seems to me that with so many of us at home keeping our fingers crossed we are, at least for the moment, successful in helping temper the temper of Denali –Hmmm, you’re welcome!
Tom M, Friday HH friends send their Hellos and best wishes to you and the team.
Take care all.
