The Mt. Rainier Four Day Summit Climb teams led by RMI Guides Jake Beren and Geoff Schellens reached the summit crater around 7:45 a.m. Jake reported light winds and pleasant conditions. The teams spent about an hour on the summit before beginning their descent just after 9:00 a.m.
We look forward to seeing all of the climbers back in Ashford later today.

The Four Day Summit Climb team for May 18 - 21, 2016, led by RMI Guides Elias de Andres-Martos and Kel Rossiter, reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams only spent a short amount of time on the crater rim before starting their descent to Camp Muir. The teams will continue their descent to Paradise and return to Rainier BaseCamp later today.

The May 15 - 20 Expedition Skills Seminar - Muir teams finished up their training at Camp Muir this morning. With a successful summit climb on Wednesday the teams spent yesterday working on crevasse rescue training. Today they packed up and left Camp Muir shortly before 11 am headed for Paradise.
We look forward to seeing them later today.

We made it to the summit! It was a long day involving a lot of new route finding and high winds. The team did great! We are resting and refueling at Camp Muir and will be finishing up the remaining training tomorrow and Friday!

The Expedition Skills Seminar - Muir is enjoying wonderful weather on Mt. Rainier today. The team is spending the day training at Ingraham Flats at 11,200’. Ingraham Flats is a relatively flat section (hence the name) of the Ingraham Glacier that climbing parties often use for a camp when climbing Mt. Rainier. The team will head back to Camp Muir for their second night on the mountain.

The RMI Expedition Skills Seminar - Muir led by RMI Guides Seth Waterfall and Walter Hailes checked in on their way to Camp Muir today. After climbing through the cloud deck, the team enjoyed blue skies the rest of the way to camp. The seminar teams will spend the rest of the week training at Camp Muir and will make a summit attempt from Camp Muir later in the week.

The Four Day Summit Climb teams lead by RMI Guides Elias de Andres Martos and Nick Hunt reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning under clear skies and nice conditions. The teams began their descent from the crater rim shortly after 9 am en route to Camp Muir. The teams will rest and re-pack then start their descent to Paradise.
We look forward to seeing them at Rainier BaseCamp later today.

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guides Tyler Jones and Ben Liken reached the top of Disappointment Cleaver before winds and weather forced them to turn. Tyler reported several inches of fresh snow on the upper mountain. The team is back at Camp Muir and will be starting their descent to Paradise shortly.

Our Four Day Summit Climb Teams led by RMI Guides Casey Grom and Kel Rossiter Reached the Summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. The team reported moderate winds of 20 – 30 MPH and a bit of light Snow. The team was able to spend a brief amount of time on the Crater Rim before starting their descent. The team is en route to Camp Muir and will be back at Ashford Basecamp this afternoon.
Today also marks the 200th Summit of Mt. Rainier for our lead Guide Casey Grom. Casey has been a guide with RMI Expeditions for over ten years, and has successfully reached the top of many peaks all over the world including Mt. Everest. Congratulations to Casey on a very successful climbing career, we look forward to sharing many more summits with you!
Congratulations to the team and to the guide for his superior performance on such a grueling mountain. Climbing it one time is a dream of mine.

RMI Guides Brent Okita & Seth Waterfall led their teams to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Brent radioed in at 7 am from Columbia Crest reporting great conditions and a beautiful day for the first summit of the 2016 season. Both teams left the crater rim around 7:30 am en route to Camp Muir. They will repack and continue their descent to Paradise this afternoon. We look forward to seeing them at Rainier BaseCamp later today.
