.SYNOPSIS...A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP PAST MOUNT RAINIER ON
TUESDAY NIGHT, BRINGING STRONG WINDS TO MOUNT RAINIER. WINDS WILL
START THE PROCESS OF EASING ON WEDNESDAY, BUT A MUCH COOLER AIR
MASS WILL BE IN PLACE ON WEDNESDAY. CLOUDS WILL COVER THE LOWER
PORTION OF THE MOUNTAIN ON WEDNESDAY, BUT ALPINE TERRAIN WILL
STICK ABOVE THE CLOUDS AT TIMES. ENOUGH MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY
WILL REMAIN ON THURSDAY FOR A SLIGHT CHANCE OF AFTERNOON SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS. WARMER AND DRIER UPPER RIDGING WILL REBOUND OFF
THE COAST ON THURSDAY NIGHT, THEN PASS EASTWARD ACROSS MOUNT
RAINIER ON SATURDAY.

.IMPACTS...STRONG WINDS WILL OCCUR THROUGH WEDNESDAY IN ALPINE
REGIONS ON THE MOUNTAIN...INCLUDING THE MUIR SNOWFIELD...MAKING
IT DIFFICULT TO MOVE SAFELY. LOCAL WHITEOUT CONDITIONS FROM
BLOWING SNOW ARE POSSIBLE. A HIGH LEVEL OF SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
IN ALPINE TERRAIN...INCLUDING USE OF GPS...IS RECOMMENDED FOR
NAVIGATION AND CAMPING IN THESE CONDITIONS.

OF SHOWERS IN THE EVENING, THEN PARTLY CLOUDY AFTER MIDNIGHT.
