About Andres
Andres grew up in Ibague, Colombia. He moved to the United States eight years ago in pursuit of the AMGA / IFMGA certification. Andres has been guiding since 2000. His passion for guiding has allowed him to guide in all types of terrains, such as rock, alpine, skiing and high altitude. Andres guides in the summer as a senior guide for RMI on Mount Rainier, the North Cascades and Alaska. In the winter, he works as an ice and mixed climbing guide in Ouray, Colorado.
One of the many ways that Andres likes to give back to the community where he lives is being part of the Local Search and Rescue In Colorado, where he has been involved in many ground and high angle rescue missions. When not guiding you can find him climbing and sky diving all over the globe. Andres works as an ambassador for Millet, Blue Water Ropes, 5.10, Petzl and Ice Holdz.
