Katy grew up hiking the mountains of Colorado and diving Florida’s coral reefs. She discovered a passion for mountaineering after moving to Washington in 2002 and honed her skills in the Northwest ranges. Katy has lived in New Zealand and Mexico, and began her guiding career as a sea kayak guide while living in Hawaii. When not climbing, Katy enjoys backcountry skiing, surfing, traveling, and photography. She spent the last winter working at Big Sky Ski Resort as a ski instructor and exploring the mountains of southwest Montana.
