.SYNOPSIS...Plenty of stormy weather this week. Strong wind
expected Tuesday in advance of a cold front that will move across
the mountain on Tuesday afternoon. Heavy precipitation also
expected. A dry lull in the weather is expected on Tuesday night.
A strong warm front on Wednesday then a cold front on Thursday
will bring period of heavy precipitation and strong wind. Snow
levels will drop on Thursday with numerous showers persisting
through Friday. Another strong front will cross the mountain on
Saturday and Saturday night.

.IMPACTS...Stormy weather will create difficult backcountry
skiing and mountaineering conditions across much of the alpine
terrain of Mt. Rainier, including the Muir snowfield. Blizzard-
like conditions with strong winds and near zero visibility are
likely. A high level of skill and experience in alpine terrain,
including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in
these conditions.

.TUESDAY...Windy. Rain and snow. No snow accumulation near
Paradise. Snow level near 9000 feet decreasing to 7000 feet in
the afternoon.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...Windy. Mostly cloudy. Freezing level near
7000 feet.
.WEDNESDAY...Breezy. Rain and snow. No snow accumulation near
Paradise. Snow level near 8500 feet.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Breezy. Rain and snow. Snow level near
9000 feet.
.THURSDAY...Breezy. Rain and snow. Moderate snow accumulations.
Snow level near 6000 feet.
