Josh grew up in Idaho, and gained respect for the backcountry at a very young age. While pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology he fed his outdoor passion with climbing, diving, mountain biking, skiing, and rafting. Josh's guiding career began on the whitewater of the Middle Fork and Main Salmon Rivers. When not guiding for RMI he works as a professional structure firefighter, where he has gained technician level rescue training in multiple disciplines. He is currently pursuing the AMGA Alpine certification.
