Keep up the good work everyone! I can only imagine how grueling it is. But all is temporary. Enjoy the adventure! Sending lots of love and encouragement!
We love you Pops!

I feel like I’ve been holding my breath for the last three days watching your progress, as the stakes get a little higher. The altitude, freezing weather, more ice to climb, managing your breathing, rougher sleeping.
This definitely looks like a climbers climb:)
Sending prayers to the whole team that the team is surrounded with safe: weather, climbing, and safe remaining passage.
You got this!!
And as always you look great in the pictures.
Love Teri

The team’s effort as well as the pictures continue to astound.
In all seriousness, we are glad that the team made it into base camp prior to the snowfall. This is one of the most intense things that any of our Notre Dame teammates have been a part of, and one of those things involves a prison in Sub-Saharan Africa. I’ll let my colleague Gregory elaborate on that via upcoming comments.
Frankly, I need to apologize for my previous comments. Grabbing the low-hanging fruit of commenting on Steven’s limited physical capabilities, absence of mental acuity, and overall lack of contribution to the group was poor form. In this post, I’d like to highlight some of the positive externalities that have come out of this trip.
Firstly, think about how happy his wife (shoutout to The Ascent Group), parents, siblings, and dog are that he has been gone for this long. It must truly be a breath of fresh air to not have to deal with him while he is on this journey. Absence makes the heart grow fonder… of Steven’s absence.
Secondly, the correction(s) in financial markets while Steven has been away cannot be a coincidence. His absence has created buying opportunities for investors, which I think is a net positive for our generation given heightened valuations over the past few years. I hope that Steven put some automated exit plans on whichever platform he uses. If not, I’m available to facilitate… for a fee.
Yeah, I mean… that’s kind of all I’ve got for positive stuff.
We, as the Notre Dame Soccer community hope that the group keeps “Fighting”…Or at the very least, “Fighting Steven”.
Best,
Rosie
