Mt. Rainier: Haugen & Four Day Climb Teams on Top!

The Four Day Climb July 16 - 19 led by RMI Guide Mike Haugen reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning.  The teams enjoyed some time on top before starting their descent from the crater rim around 7 am.  Climbers will return to Camp Muir for a quick break then they repack and continue the final 4.5 miles to Paradise. Their program will conclude this afternoon at Rainier BaseCamp with a celebration ceremony.

Mt Rainier: Kautz Seminar Reaches the Summit

The Kautz Expedition Skills Seminar led by RMI guide Mike Haugen reached the summit this morning. They camped on the Wapowtey Cleaver last night and are descending via the Disappointment Cleaver route today. Despite windy conditions, they were able to reach the summit. They will return to Ashford this afternoon.

Mt. Baker: Holt & Team Have Summit Success

RMI team led by Ray Holt successfully summitted Mt. Baker on their July 7–9 climb. With favorable conditions and strong teamwork throughout the trip, the team achieved a 100% summit success rate, with every climber reaching the top.

Mt Rainier: Four-Day Climb Makes it to the Summit

RMI's four-day climb led by guides Henry Coppolillo and Sam Hoffman reached this summit of Mt Rainier this morning around 5:15am. They reported cold temperatures and moderate winds. They are currently on their descent back to Camp Muir and will return to Ashford this afternoon.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Climb Teams on the Summit!

After several days of poor weather and high winds, the Four Day Climb June 27 -30 led by RMI Guides Seth Burns, Ben Thorneycroft and Tom Skoog reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today.  They reported a beautiful day on the mountain with the cloud deck below them around 7,500'.  The teams were walking into the crater shortly after 7 am.  Once they spend a little time there, they will begin their descent to Camp Muir and then continue down to Paradise later today.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Climb Team Turned Back at 13,600ft

The Four Day Climb June 15 - 18 led by RMI Guides Dominic Cifelli and Felipe Guarderas reached 13,600ft this morning before high winds and route conditions turned them around. The team had descended to the top of Disppointment Cleaver, 12,500', by 7 am and are continuing to make their way back to Camp Muir. After a short break, they will continue from Camp Muir to Paradise. We expect them to return to Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon.

Mt Rainier: Summit Success for Four-Day Climb

The four-day climb led my RMI Guide Ben Ammon summitted Mt Rainier this morning around 6am PST. They reported a warm night of climbing and light winds. They are currently on their descent back to Camp Muir and will be back in Ashford this afternoon.

Mt Rainier: Four Day Climb Turns at Ingraham Flats Due to Avalanche Conditions

The four-day climb turned around at Ingraham Flats on their summit attempt this morning due to avalanche conditions. They enjoyed a beautiful sunrise! They will be descending back to Paradise later this morning.

Mt. Rainier: Four-Day Climb Turns at 12,450’ due to Snow Instability

RMI teams led by guides Will Ambler and Joe Crawford made their summit attempt this morning. As a result of recent snow accumulation and strong winds on the upper mountain, they found evidence of snow instability and decided to turn around at 12,450'. The teams had made their way back to Camp Muir and are doing additional training for the remainder of the morning.

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Climb Reaches the Summit

RMI Teams led by Dave Hahn and Joe Crawford reached the summit of Mt. Rainier! They started their descent back to Camp Muir around 9:30am. RMI Guide Dave Hahn reported great weather and good route conditions.
