The Expedition Skills Seminar Team stood on the summit of Mount Rainier yesterday morning. Over the past week, the team has been honing their expedition mountaineering skills through glacier travel, route finding, and crevasse rescue training on the slopes of the Emmons Glacier. Their dedication and hard work helped them develop into a strong, capable, and successful team. This morning, they packed up camp and began their descent. They are expected to return to Ashford Basecamp this afternoon.
Congratulations Team!

The Four Day Climb (June 2-5) led by Joe Hoch and Ben Ammon turned at the top Cathedral Gap (10,640’) early this morning due to strong winds that were making climbing and continuing uphill very difficult. Way to hang in there team!
On the evening of May 31st, the Mount Baker Easton climb went 100% to the top! We enjoyed calm and clear conditions, with the route all to ourselves. The sunset was around 9:00pm, transitioning into a beautiful full-moon which illuminated the sky to the East.
Thanks to the team for all the effort and hard work to make it happen.
- RMI Guide Sam Hoffman and Kat Porter
Nice work team! Glad you had good weather and the route all to yourselves. You were in good hands with Sam!
