Glacier Peak: Wedel and Team Summit!

RMI Guides Jess Wedel, Dylan Anderson, and Stella Johnson led their team to an early morning summit of Glacier Peak today. After descending back to high camp, the team took some time to rest before packing up and continuing down to their lower camp, where they will spend the night. Tomorrow morning, they'll complete the final leg of their journey with the descent to the trailhead.

Congratulations to the entire team on a successful summit!

Mt Rainier: Four Day Climb Reaches the Summit in Strong Winds

The Four Day climb led by RMI guide Mike Bennet and Ray Holt reached the summit this morning. They reported strong winds at the summit, depsite low wind speeds throughout the climb. They were leaving the crater around 7:55am and are currently on their descent back to Camp Muir. They will return to Ashford this afternoon.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Climb Summits in Windy Conditions

RMI's four-day climb, led by guides Nikki Champion and Ben Luedtke, reached the summit of Mount Rainier this morning at 6:30 a.m. The team reported high winds on the mountain, so they tagged the summit and promptly began their descent toward Camp Muir at 7:00 a.m.

After regrouping at camp, they'll continue their descent to Paradise and return to Ashford later today.

Congratulations to all the climbers and guides on a successful summit!

Mt Rainier: Five-Day Climb Reaches the Summit

The five-day clmib decided to climb their first night at Camp Muir, with much success! The team, led by RMI guide Nick Sinapius, reached the summit around 7am this morning. They are on their descent back to Camp Muir. They have one more night at Camp Muir and will descend back to Ashford tomorrow.

Mt. Rainier: Today’s Four Day Climb Turned Around by High Winds

The Four Day Climb June 13 - 16 led by RMI Guide Sam Marjerison turned around at 12,200' today due to high winds. The teams returned to Camp Muir around 6:30, they enjoyed a bit of a rest and then started their descend from Camp Muir to Paradise around 8:45 am.  They will return to Rainier Base Camp around noon today and complete their program.

Rainier: Four Day Climb Turns at the Top of the Disappointment Cleaver Due to Route Conditions

RMI teams led by guides Joe Crawford and Hannah Blum set out to summit Mt Rainier this morning, but turned around at the top of the Dissapointment Cleaver due to route conditions. They are on their way back down to Camp Muir and will be back in Ashford later today.

Well…certainly a disappointment for the climbers and the guides. But…given the conditions and everyone is back safely, not an outcome that qualifies for criticism. Thank you and best regards to all involved in this climb.

Mt. Rainier: Expedition Skills Seminar led by Leif Bergstrom reaches summit via Emmons Glacier

The Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons led by RMI Guide Leif Bergstrom reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today via the Emmons Glacier.  The team bumped up to Camp Schurman yesterday putting their glacier travel, ice ace arrest and cramponing skills they learned over the last few days to the test. Once back to Camp Schurman, they will enjoy the afternoon and evening.  Tomorrow they will break camp and descend to the trailhead, returning to Ashford tomorrow afternoon.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Climb led by Hoffman and Hedreen Remain at Camp Muir

The Four Day Climb May 13  - 17 reached Camp Muir yesterday afternoon weathering the difficult conditions with smiles on their faces dispite the snow flakes whipping through the air.

Once the team reached Camp Muir, they were treated to clear skies above and a cloud deck below 9,900'.  The team was unable to make a summit attempt due to the weather including several feet of new snow causing unsafe conditions. They are descending from Camp Muir and will return to Rainier BaseCamp in the early afternoon.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Climbers Reach the Summit

Climbers on the Four Day Climb August 9 - 11 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today.  They enjoyed a bit of time on the summit and began their descent from the crater rim just after 7 am. Once back at Camp Muir, they will repack and continue the remaining 4,500' descent to Paradise.

Mt. Rainier: Beautiful Morning on the Summit for the Four Day Climbs

With calm and beautiful skies, the Four Day Climbs led by RMI Guides Casey Grom and Dustin Wittmier reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams spent time on the summit enjoying the views of the 8,000' cloud deck blanketing the lower elevations. Currently on their descent to Camp Muir, the teams will be back in Ashford later this afternoon.
