Mt. Rainier: Four Day Climb Teams led by Traylor and Hedreen Top Out

The Four Day Climb August 14 - 17 led by RMI Guides Sam Traylor and George Hedreen reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. They were above the clouds with a light wind and enjoyed some time in the summit crater.  They started their descent from the crater rim around 7 am headed for Camp Muir. Once back at camp they will have a short break to repack and then continue down to Paradise.  Their program will conclude this afternoon at Rainier BaseCamp with a summit celebration.

Mt. Rainier: Sinapius & Ritterson’s Team Reach Summit

The Four Day Climb August 13 - 16 led by RMI Guides Nick Sinapius & Jack Ritterson reached the summit around 6:30 am today. They had overcast skies and a steady wind of 10-20 mph keeping things cool.  The team started their descent from the crater rim shortly before 8 am.  Once back at Camp Muir the climbers will take a quick break and repack their gear, then descend the remaining 4.5 miles to Paradise.

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Teams Enjoy Summit Success

The Five-Day climbs led by Jackson Breen and Will Ambler summitted Mt. Rainier around 7:10 am this morning. They reported clear skies above with clouds building around them, so they opted for a touch and go on top to keep the team moving. They'll return to Camp Muir and stay one more night before returning to Ashford.

Mt. Rainier: Cifelli & Five Day Team Reaches Summit

The Five Day Private Climb led by RMI Guide Dominic Cifelli reached the summit of Mt. Raineir today with 100% of their team.  It's a beauiful day on the mountain with clear skies and cool temperatures.  The team will return to Camp Muir and spend another night on the mountain. They may do a little training or just enjoy the views.  Tomorrow they will descend to Paradise and conclude their program.

Mt. Rainier: Teams on the Summit!

The Four Day Climb led by RMI Guide Joe Hoch reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning with 100% of their team.  Joe reported a very good route, sunshine and cooler temperatures. They enjoyed some time in the crater before starting their descent. Once back at Camp Muir they will pack up and continue downhill to Paradise.

Mt. Rainier: Crawford and Expedition Skills Seminar - Paradise Team Reach Summit

The Expedition Skills Seminar – Paradise, led by RMI Guide Joe Crawford, culminated its week of training with a successful summit of Mt. Rainier this morning at 6:30 a.m.

The team spent four nights and five days training on the lower slopes of Mt. Rainier, developing essential mountaineering skills including glacier travel, crevasse rescue, anchor and belay systems, and establishing and living in a mountain camp. Yesterday, they moved up to Camp Muir to prepare for their summit attempt.

They were rewarded with a beautiful day on the mountain and enjoyed some time in the summit crater before beginning their descent. The team is now making its way back to Camp Muir, where they will take a short break to repack and rest before continuing the final 4.5 miles to Paradise later this afternoon, concluding their program.

Congratulations to the entire team on a fantastic week of training and a successful summit of Mt. Rainier!

Mt. Rainier: May & Team on the Summit

It's another beautiful day on Mt. Rainier and more teams are reaching the summit.  RMI Guide Dan May and team reached the summit at 6:30 am today.  The route is really nice and the weather is clear.  The team enjoyed an hour in the summit crater before starting their descent to Camp Muir. Once back at Camp they will get a short break before continuing the final 4,000' to Paradise.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Teams Reach the Top with Clear Skies in All Directions

Four day teams reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning at 5:40 am. The teams reported good visibility to the north and south and 20 mph winds as forecasted.

They were leaving the high point and starting their decent to Camp Muir at 6:30 am.

We'll see them back in Ashford this evening to celebrate.

The Four Day climb led by RMI guides Eric Frank and Sam Hoffman made it to the summit of Mt Rainier around 6:15am this morning. They were leaving the crater around 7am on their descent back to Camp Muir. They will return to Ashford this afternoon.

The Four Day climb led by RMI guides Joe Hoch and Mac Nolde made it to the summit of Mt Rainier this morning. They reported nice weather and a busy route. They were leaving the crater starting their descent back to Camp Muir around 7am. They will return to Ashford this afternoon.
