Greetings from our home at 7,800’ at the base of Ski Hill.

Today we carried big loads up to 9,600’ camp and made a cache. This allowed us to get in some mileage and take a day off the sleds. It also gives us a lighter move day tomorrow and every little bit helps!  Just before dinner it started to snow and we retreated to tents to rest up for the upcoming day. Cross your fingers for clearing skies and we’ll make the most of them.

Jake - hope the team behaves themselves, and the weather gods smile. Have a great climb.

Dad - you’re a sofa king good climber and all my friends think you’re a badass because you do awesome shit like climbing bigass mountains. Yes, this is the vocabulary of your almost post-grad daughter. Ya done good. Keep thinking about that beautiful first glass of wine you’ll drink as soon as you get back, and the new medallion you’ll get to put on your desk in your office after you summit. You’re going to kill it tomorrow!!!!!
Love you to the summit and back!
