The Six Day Expedition Skills Seminar – Paradise led by RMI Guide Will Ambler reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today after several days of training, learning, and putting their mountaineering skills to the test on the mountain.
The team made the most of their time on the mountain, building experience and confidence as they prepared for their summit attempt. After reaching the top today, they will make a complete descent from the mountain and return to RMI’s BaseCamp later this afternoon, concluding their program.
Congratulations to the team on a successful climb and a great week of learning and adventure on Mt. Rainier!

The Four Day Climb teams led by Mike King and Mike Bennett reached the summit of Mt. Rainier at around 7:15 am this morning.
The teams endured high winds up top, so they touched the top and started their descent back downhill after a quick break.
They'll make the journey back to Camp Muir, down to Paradise, and hop on a quick shuttle ride back to Ashford by the evening.
Great job climbers!

The Expedition Skills Seminar Team stood on the summit of Mount Rainier yesterday morning. Over the past week, the team has been honing their expedition mountaineering skills through glacier travel, route finding, and crevasse rescue training on the slopes of the Emmons Glacier. Their dedication and hard work helped them develop into a strong, capable, and successful team. This morning, they packed up camp and began their descent. They are expected to return to Ashford Basecamp this afternoon.
Congratulations Team!
