The Expedition Skill Seminar - Paradise met in Ashford on Sunday to being their week of training. After a full day on the grounds of Rainier BaseCamp getting ready for their trip, they left early the following morning to begin their climb. The weather was beautiful and the team spent their days training on the glacier of Mt. Rainier. Yesterday the team ascend to Camp Muir where they spent the night. With an alpine start they left Camp Muir to make their summit attempt. The team enjoyed the views from the top of Mt. Rainier with clear skies and light winds. Nick and team will return to Camp Muir to re-pack their gear and make their final descent to Paradise. Congratulations to the Paradise Seminar Team!
The
Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons Team led by RMI Guide Geoff Schellens reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Geoff and team had a great day of climbing with warm temps and clear skies. The team will spend the remaining time on the mountain training before returning to Rainier Basecamp tomorrow afternoon.

The
Four Day Summit Climb Teams August 14 - 17, 2016 enjoyed beautiful weather during their time in Mt. Rainier National Park. Today was no different as the teams got an early start from Camp Muir and were able to enjoy the views from the summit of Mt. Rainier. The teams, led by
RMI Guides Mike King & Steve Gately, reported light winds and perfect weather. We look forward to seeing them at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon.

Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide
Mike Walter radioed into the RMI Office at 7:15 am to let us know they were leaving the Summit of Mt. Rainier. Mike and team had a successful climb to the summit with bluebird skies.

After their rest and acclimatization day on the mountain yesterday, the
Five Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide
Solveig Waterfall reached the Summit of Mt. Rainier Early this morning. The team reported a great day of climbing with clear skies.

The
Mt. Rainier Summit Climb, led by
JJ Justman, successfully reached the summit this morning. With bluebird skies, the team was able to see spectacular views all around. They began their descent from the summit at 7:10 a.m.
RMI Guides Jake Beren and Christina Dale led their teams to the summit of
Mt. Rainier this morning. Both teams reported clear skies and warm temperatures with great climbing conditions. The teams began their descent from the crater rim around 7:45 am PT. They will return to Camp Muir and then continue down to Paradise later today.

The
Four Day Summit Climb Teams got an early start from Camp Muir today and reached the summit of Mt. Rainier.
RMI Guides Brent Okita and Kel Rossiter and their climbers began their descent from the crater rim at 7 am PT. It's a beautiful summer day with warm temps and clear skies. This is what Brent Okita calls a bluebird day.

Summit! The
Mt. Rainier Summit Climb teams, led by
Mike Walter and
Steve Gately, began their descent at 8:00 a.m. With such nice weather, the teams were able to spend over an hour on the summit, crossing the crater and enjoying the views with no clouds in sight. This afternoon we look forward to congratulating the teams this afternoon here in Ashford at Rainier Basecamp!
Seth Waterfall led his seminar team up the
Kautz Route and is descending via the Disappointment Cleaver Route. At 7:05 a.m. the team was at 13,600' headed to Camp Muir. Seth reported totally clear skies and calm winds.
