The Four Day Climb teams led by Joe Hoch and Tatum Whatford stood on the summit of Mt. Rainier at 6:15 AM this morning!
The team left under a beautiful full moon and summited with perfect sunny skies. We also had a proposal on the summit. Rumor has it, she said YES!
Congratulations to all climbers for reaching the top of the Pacific Northwest!

The ESS - Kautz Team, led by RMI Guide Mike Haugen, reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning via the Kautz Route, a classic route!
After a week of intense alpine training and a thrilling climb up the Kautz Ice Chute, the team topped out in style. They're now making their way down the mountain via the Disappointment Cleaver Route, completing an epic "up and over" traverse.
Huge congratulations to the entire team for their teamwork, and mountaineering skill!

The Four Day Climb led by RMI Guide Jack Delaney made a strong effort today, turning around at the top of Disappointment Cleaver due to high winds and a cloud cap over the summit.
The team is currently descending safely back to Camp Muir and will return to Rainier Basecamp in Ashford later this afternoon.
We’re proud of their resilience and smart decision-making in challenging conditions. Safety always comes first on the mountain!

The ALA Climb for Clean Air Team made an incredible push up Mt. Rainier, reaching the top of Disappointment Cleaver before high winds and a summit cloud cap made it unsafe to continue.
RMI Guide Jess Wedel reports the team is doing well and is now en route back to Camp Muir to regroup before descending to Paradise.
We’re proud of their strength, determination, and commitment to clean air for all.

The Five Day Climb July 5 - 9 led by RMI Guides Casey Grom & Jackson Breen reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. The teams enjoyed clear skies, nice walking and a bit of wind. They began their descent from the crater rim just after 7 am. Forecasts for tonight show higher winds, so the team chose today for their summit attempt and it seems to have worked out nicely. They will return to Camp Muir for their second night and enjoy a full nights rest before descending the final 4,500' to Paradise tomorrow.
Congratulations to today's climbers!
