The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Peter Whittaker reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Peter reported windy conditions on the summit. The team is making their descent and we expect them back at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon. Way to climb!

Mt. Rainier: Climb for Clean Air Summits!

Led by RMI Guides Win Whittaker and Leon Davis, American Lung Association and their Climb for Clean Air reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The team enjoyed sunny skies and gorgeous views from the summit. We look forward to seeing the climbers in Ashford when their return from their descent this afternoon. Congratulations team!

Mt. Rainier: July 13th Summit!

Climbers on the Four Day Summit Climb teams led by RMI Guides Brent Okita and Mike Uchal reached the summit crater of Mt. Rainier at 6:45 a.m. PDT. Brent and Mike reported chilly and breezy conditions on the summit. The teams will spend some time on top before beginning their descent. We look forward to welcoming the climbers back to Ashford this afternoon. Congratulations!

Awesome and beyond (Brent) &team;, blessed to have run Gates on Gold Hill coin-op,&  bringing around with Alan,Wheels,steveie ray vaugh!! Especially when you. Team 911,,let me race gates under chair 4,,&& will never forget wheels/ yelled-(Spud Did It For The Team!!  You & Julie invited to have super hot cocoa @ that time Up on Gold Hill! Mt. Rainier: Expedition Skills Seminar - Kautz Reaches Summit

RMI Guide Jake Beren and the Expedition Skills Seminar - Kautz team reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning via the Kautz route. Jake reported clear skies on the summit. The team will spend some time on the summit before making their descent. The team will spend one more night on the mountain before descending off the mountain tomorrow. Way to climb!

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guides Seth Waterfall, Christina Dale, and Katrina Bloemsma reached the summit of Mt. Rainier just before 7:00 a.m. PDT. Katrina reported clear, breezy skies above Disappointment Cleaver. The teams will spend some time celebrating on the summit before beginning their descent. We look forward to seeing them in Ashford this afternoon. Congratulations climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Summit Climb Team on Top!

The Five Day Summit Climb July 7 - 11, 2016 led by RMI Guide Nick Hunt reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The team reached Camp Muir on Saturday and enjoyed their time on the mountain before making their summit attempt this morning. Conditions were very nice this morning on the upper mountain. A cloud deck sits below Camp Muir around 9,000'. Today's team will return to Camp Muir and then continue down to Paradise and Rainier BaseCamp where they were complete their program with a team celebration. Congratulations to today's climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Team on the Summit!

RMI Guide Tyler Reid and the Four Day Summit Climb Team was approaching Mt. Rainier's crater rim shortly before 7:00 am this morning. Tyler reported great conditions with a cloud deck below them around 9,000' feet. We hope they are enjoying the views!

Mt. Rainier: July 10th Update

RMI Guide Pete Van Deventer and the Four Summit Climb team were unable to summit this morning. They encountered avalanche hazard that forced them to turn at 12,500.’ They began their decent at 7:05 this morning and should be back at Rainier Basecamp early this afternoon.

Due to avalanche hazard, the summit climb teams, led by Brent Okita and Mike Uchal, were unable to summit Mt. Rainier this morning. Both teams topped out at 12,800,’ and are headed back down to Camp Muir. We look forward to seeing the teams back in Ashford this afternoon.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Summit Climb Unable to Reach Summit

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guides Seth Waterfall and Katrina Bloemsma was unable to reach the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Due to overnight rain the team was unable to leave Camp Muir for their summit attempt. The weather improved enough this morning for the team to climb up to Ingraham Flats at 11,200' to climb a bit and experience the upper slopes of Mt. Rainier. The team left Camp Muir at 10:45 a.m. to make their descent back to Paradise. We look forward to seeing them in Ashford early this afternoon.
