Mt. Rainier: Five Day Climb Summits!

The Five Day Climb led by RMI Guides Dominic Cifelli and Sam Hoffman reached the summit of Mt. Rainier on Friday Morning. The team took advantage of the cooler temperatures which made for good climbing on the route. They spent the night at Camp Muir sharing stories and soaking in their success and all the views. The team will descend to Paradise in the early afternoon today.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Teams Reach the Summit!

The Four Day Teams with RMI Guides Joe Hoch and Alan Davis reached the 14,410' summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. The team climbed from Camp Muir to the Summit in 6 ½ hours. The climbers and guides spent some time on the Summit enjoying the sunrise before starting their descent at 7 am.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Team on Top!

The Four Day Climb led by RMI Guide Avery Parrinello stood on Columbia Crest under clear skies early this morning. A team of RMI Guides worked tirelessly the last two days to ensure the route was safe and climbable for the many climbers on the Disappointment Cleaver Route. Their efforts did not go un-noticed as today's team was able to reach the 14,410' summit successfully.  The team is in route back to Camp Muir where they will pack up before descending to Paradise.

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Climb Teams Enjoy Beautiful Morning

The Five Day Climb teams led by RMI Guides Joe Hoch and Tatum Whatford reached the summit this morning.  Joe reported a stormy night at Camp Muir and a cloudy ascent but a clear morning with light winds as they were descending from the crater rim.  The teams started their descent from the crater rim a little before 7am today.  They will return to Camp Muir for a quick break and then continue down to Paradise.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Climb Teams Enjoy Perfect Day, Reach Summit

RMI Guides Brent Okita & Mike Haugen reported a perfect day of climbing on Mt. Rainier today.  The Four Day Climb June 18 - 21 reached the summit around 7 am and enjoyed some time in the crater before starting their descent.  The teams started their descent from the crater rim just after 8 am and will return to Camp Muir.  After a short break the teams will continue the final 4.5 miles to Paradise and be transferred back to Rainier BaseCamp later this afternoon.

Mt. Rainier: Teams Brave the Cold to Come Out on Top

RMI guides Mike King and Mike Haugen called from the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. They reported some chilly temperatures, moderate winds and beautiful weather for climbing this morning. Despite the cold temperatures, the team enjoyed a great climbing route. Congratulations climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Climb Enjoys Lovely Day of Climbing

RMI Guides Avery Parrinello and Alex Halliday lead the Five Day Climb June 8 - 12 to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning.  Alex reported a lovely day with a light breeze.  The teams reached the summit crater between 6:30 and 6:45 am PT.  The teams enjoyed some time in the crater before starting their descent just before 8 am.  Once back to Camp Muir they will take a short break to refuel and repack before descending the remaining 4.5 miles to Paradise.

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Climb Teams Enjoy Perfect Day

The Five Day Climb June 3 - 7 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. After training and climbing the last few days the teams put their training to work. The climbing teams enjoyed some time in the crater before starting their descent around 8:30 am. From the crater rim, RMI Guide Dave Hahn reported a perfect day with no wind and beautiful conditions. The teams will return to Camp Muir and then continue their descent to Paradise later today.

Mt. Rainier: Teams Turn due to Wind and Precipitation

The Four-Day climb led by Pete Van Deventer and Alex Halliday turned around at 12,300’ this morning. The teams were facing 45 mph gusts as a wet cloud cap descended on them. They reported that the weather at Camp Muir was far more favorable with a light breeze to welcome them.

The teams are on their descent back to Basecamp, with warm showers and good food in their sights.

Mt. Rainier: Five-Day Team Stand On Top!

The Five-Day Climb led by Nikki Champion and Steve Gately reached the summit at 6 am this morning. After a warm walk uphill to Camp Muir on Saturday, teams enjoyed a good night's rest and a beautiful day of training before their ascent this morning.

The teams are currently on their descent and will return to Basecamp this afternoon for a celebration of their accomplishments! Congratulations team!
