At 7:05 a.m.
RMI Guide Brent Okita and his summit climb team were five minutes from Mt.
Rainier's crater rim. The route work, completed yesterday, was great and well wanded. Brent also reported great weather.
Congratulations to the team!
The
Four Day Summit Climb led by
RMI Guides Seth and Solveig Waterfall were unable to reach the summit today due to route conditions. The teams reached 12,700' before deciding to turn back. They will return to Camp Muir for a short break before continuing down to Paradise.
We look forward to seeing the teams at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon.
The Four Day Summit Climbs led by
RMI Guides Zeb Blais and Lindsay Fixmer reached the summit of
Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams experienced very high winds upon approaching the crater rim. The team enjoyed some time on top before starting their descent around 7 am. The teams will return to Camp Muir for a short break before continuing down to Paradise. We look forward to seeing them at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon.

The
Expedition Skills Seminar - Paradise led by
RMI Guide Mike Haugen reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. The team spent several nights on the mountain training for their summit attempt on Rainier and gaining knowledge and experience for future climbs. Today is the sixth and final day of this program putting their new skills to use.
RMI Guide Tyler Reid led the Four Day Summit Climb to the summit this morning. As of 7:30 am both teams were at the top of Disappointment Cleaver on their descent. It's a bluebird day on Mt. Rainier, clear skies and warm temperatures. The teams will return to Camp Muir for a short break before continuing to Paradise.
We look forward to seeing both teams at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon. Congratulations to today's climbing teams!
The Four Day
Summit Climb teams led by RMI Guides Brent Okita and Billy Nugent reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Brent reported a gorgeous day with clear skies and winds 25-30 mph on the summit but 15 - 20 mph throughout the climb. The teams began their descent from the crater rim around 7 am and will return to Cam Muir before continuing down to Paradise.
The
Expeditions Skills Seminar - Kautz led by Jake Beren also reached the summit this morning. At 8:30 am they began their descent and will return to their camp where they will spend another night on the mountain.

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide
Win Whittaker and the Five Day Summit Climb led by Lindsay Fixmer reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. The teams were able to spend an hour on the summit before starting their descent. At 7:00 am they were approaching the top of
Disappointment Cleaver on their descent. The weather is beautiful with clear skies, warm temperatures and light winds.

Peter Whittaker and the
Four Day Summit Climb team reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning around 5:20 am. The team is making their descent back to Camp Muir and enjoying a light wind. We look forward to seeing them in Ashford this afternoon.
The
Expedition Skills Seminar – Emmons led by RMI Guide
Pete Van Deventer reached the summit of Mt. Rainier around 7:00 am. Pete reports clear skies on the summit and 15 mph winds. He says it is fairly warm and a really nice day to climb. The team is enjoying some time at Columbia Crest and will begin their descent to Camp Schurman around 8:00 am.

The Four- and Five- Day
Mount Rainier Summit Climb teams, led by
Seth Waterfall and
Billy Nugent, were on the summit to watch the sunrise. Both teams called in at 7:30 on the descent and they were at the top of Disappointment Cleaver. They reported no wind, blue skies and a low cloud layer just above Rainier Basecamp in Ashford. It’s a beautiful day on the mountain and getting hot!
At 7:25 AM, RMI Guide Garrett Stevens and the Four Day Summit Climb team radioed from the top of Disappointment Cleaver on their descent from the summit of Mt Rainier. Garrett reported warm temperatures and a light wind making for a perfect, bluebird day. We look forward to greeting the team in Ashford this afternoon.
