Mt. Rainier: July 12th Summit!

Our Four Day Summit Climb teams led by Billy Nugent and Gabriel Barral reached the top of Mt. Rainier today. They climbed into a cloud cap that greeted them with strong winds and cold temperatures. The teams started their descent back to Camp Muir at about 8:01am PST. Our Emmons Expedition Skills Seminar team led by Dan Windham check it at 12:52pm PST today from Camp Schurman. The team headed out for their summit attempt at about 7:00am PST in hopes that the rain and wind they experienced at camp would die down. The team was able to reach an elevation of 12,000' but decided to turn back due to poor visibility, strong winds and heavy snow. The team will continue training and plan on being back at Rainier Basecamp tomorrow afternoon. Congratulations to today's teams.

Mt. Rainier: July 11th - Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb July 8 - 11and the Five Day Summit Climb July 7 - 11 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. The teams reported clear skies with cold temperatures and 20 mph winds. The summit teams started their descent from the crater rim at 7:30 a.m. PT. Congratulations to today's summit teams!

The Four Day Summit Climb July 7 - 10 led by Chad Peele reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. The team reported clear skies and light winds this morning. They began their descent from the crater rim at 7:30 a.m. PT. Congratulations to today's summit team!

Mt. Rainier: July 9th Summit!

Win Whittaker, Andres Marin, Walter Hailes and their RMI teams reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The temperature on top was about 18 degrees with winds of 20mph from the northwest. The teams had clear views all the way down the valley and were starting their descent back to Camp Muir at 7:44am. Congratulations to today's teams.

Mt. Rainier: July 8th Update

High winds kept our teams off of the summit of Mt. Rainier today. The team headed out early and reached an elevation of 11,600' but the winds were just too strong, so they returned safely to the shelter of Camp Muir. They will be leaving Camp Muir early and will be back down to Rainier Basecamp in the early afternoon.

Mt. Rainier: July 7th - Summit!

The Four Day Summit climb led by Brent Okita, Solveig Garhart and Dan Windham reached the top of Mt. Rainier today. The team reported clear skies and 20 mph winds. At 7:40 a.m. PT the teams were at 12,300' on their descent en route to Camp Muir. The Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons July 3 - 8 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning led by Mike Walter. The team will return to Camp Schurman for their final night on the mountain. Congratulations to today's summit teams!

Mt. Rainier: July 5th Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb July 2 - 5 led by Chad Peele reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. It's a beautiful day with light winds, warm temperatures and clear skies. The team began their descent from the crater rim at 8:30 a.m. en route to Camp Muir. They will return to Paradise later today. RMI Guide Casey Grom led the Expedition Skills Seminar - Kautz July 1 - 6 to the summit today. The team reported great route conditions and a beautiful day on the mountain. This six day seminar will return to their high camp at approximately 10,000' for their final night on the mountain. The group will finish their training and descend to Paradise tomorrow afternoon. Congratulations to today's summit teams!

Mt. Rainier: July 4th - Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb July 1 - 4 led by Tyler Jones and the Five Day Summit Climb June 30 - 4 July reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams reported light winds and clear skies. At 7:05 a.m. the teams were at 13,500' on their descent en route to Camp Muir. Congratulations to today's climbers and Happy 4th of July!

Mt. Rainier: July 3rd Update

The Four Day Summit Climb June 30 - 3 July reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. The weather on the mountain was very windy and cold. The team, led by RMI Guide Billy Nugent, began their descent from the crater rim at 7:30 a.m. PT. en route to Camp Muir. Congratulations to Billy and today's Summit Climb team!
