The Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons May 27 - 1 June, led by RMI Guide Alex Halliday reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today! Alex reported cold and windy conditions from the summit so the team did not spend much time on top. They will return to Camp Schurman for their third and final night on the mountain. The team will continue their descent to the trail head tomorrow and return to Rainier BaseCamp tomorrow afternoon.

RMI Guides Dominic Cifelli and Bryan Mazaika led the Four Day Climb May 28 - 31, 2023 to the summit of Mt. Rainier today. The teams enjoyed over an hour in the summit crater before starting their descent from the crater rim shortly before 9 am. Conditions above Camp Muir were clear and sunny with a cloud deck below near 7,500'. Climbers will make a quick stop at Camp Muir and then continue to Paradise. We look forward to seeing them back at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon.

RMI Guides Dustin Wittmier & Ben Luedtke led their Five Day Climb teams to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Dustin reported broken clouds and light to moderate winds as the teams were ascending the Ingraham Direct early this morning. The teams enjoyed some time in the crater before beginning their descent. The climbers will return to Camp Muir for a short rest and to pack their gear before descending the remaining 4.5 miles to Paradise later today.

The Four-Day climbing teams led by RMI guides Steve Gately and Christina Dale reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. They reported some light route traffic and a great climbing route.
They will return back to Camp Muir for a quick rest break before descending back to Rainier Basecamp in Ashford this evening to celebrate their success!
Nice work team!

The Four Day Climb led by RMI Guides Dave Hahn and Bryan Mazaika reached the summit of Mt. Rainier at 7:15 am today. Dave reported excellent conditions and the Ingraham Direct route is in great shape. The teams spent about an hour on the summit celebrating and enjoying the views. They are on the descent and will reach Paradise later this afternoon.

Our first Kautz seminar called in from the top of Mt. Rainier this morning! RMI guide Joe Hoch reported a sunny day despite the cold, windy weather surrounding them.
The team is on their descent to camp tonight and will return to Basecamp tomorrow afternoon.

Today our Expedition Skills Seminar Team led by RMI Guides Brent Okita and Andy Bond reached the summit of Mt. Rainier. It was an unexpectedly stormy climb into a big cloud cap where the rime stuck to everything and everyone. but the team crushed it! The weather finely broke as they approached their last break giving them a nice view from the top.
The team celebrated their summit back at Ingraham Flats. They will spend the remainder of the week training in and around Camp Muir.

The Mt. Rainier Four Day Climb teams led by RMI Guides Josh McDowell and Bryan Mazaika reached the summit of Mt. Rainier shortly after 7:00am. The teams spent about an hour on the summit enjoying the beautiful weather. We look forward to seeing them at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon.

The Four Day Climb May 18 - 21 led by RMI Guides Dave Hahn and Ben Luedtke reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Dave reported broken clouds above with some sunshine coming through and warming the team as they started their descent from the crater rim. There is also a cloud deck below them at around 8,000' this morning. Once back at Camp Muir the teams will repack and take a quick break before continuing down to Paradise. We look forward to their return to Rainier BaseCamp later today.

The Four Day Climb led by RMI Guides Andy Bond and Alex Halliday stayed at Camp Muir last night. The upper mountain was covered in a heavy cap with significant thunderstorms. Currently the weather at Camp Muir is sunny with the cap still hanging over the upper mountain and a marine layer sitting at about 5,000’. The team will enjoy the calm morning before starting their descent to Paradise.
Congratulations on your climb!!! We are so impressed!!! We hope you took lots of pictures and can’t wait to hear your stories! We are so proud of you all!!!
