The Four Day Summit Climb June 9 - 12, 2011led by RMI Guide Nate Disser reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The team was beginning their descent from the crater rim at 7:20 a.m. PT. They reported calm winds, cool temperatures and nice climbing conditions.

The Four Day Summit Climbs lead by Win Whittaker and Jason Thompson reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. It was a clear and cold morning with light winds at about 10mph. Congratulations to the teams!

Seth Waterfall and the Expedition Skills Seminar – Muir were on the summit early this morning. After a week of hard work they were awarded with clear views and light winds.
The teams are back at Camp Muir and packing up for their descent to Paradise.


Congratulations to Casey Grom and our Liberty Ridge Climb!
Nine and 1/2 hour ascent from high camp and they will descend to Camp Schurman tonight. The team is pretty tired, but great climb and beautiful weather on top!
The Expedition Skill Seminar - Muir has had a great week of training at Camp Muir thus far. They have experienced every kind of weather Mt. Rainier has to offer from blizzard conditions to warm and sunny. They have done a lot of training and have climbed above Ingraham Flats twice this week. They made a summit attempt this morning but were turned back at 11,200' due to high avalanche conditions. The climbers are doing great and they will continue their training this afternoon. The team is considering making another summit attempt tonight weather permitting. They will descend to Paradise tomorrow afternoon and complete their program.
The Four Day Summit Climbs lead by JJ Justman and Gabriel Barral reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning with 100% of their teams. It is a beautiful day on Mt. Rainier.

Today the Four Day Summit Climb June 2 -5 and the Five Day Summit Climb June 1 - 5 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier. The teams reported great climbing conditions and a beautiful day. Congratulations!
RMI Guides Kel Rossiter & Seth Waterfall checked in as their teams were about to begin thier descent from the crater rim. They had a great summit day, clear weather, light easterly wind and a great view of Mt. Jefferson. They will make their way back to Camp Muir and spend a little time there packing and re-hydrating before departing for Paradise.

Casey Grom and the Expedition Skills Seminar - Muir team have had a great week of training on the mountain, but unfortunately were unable to make a summit attempt. We expect the group to be leaving Camp Muir around 10:00 a.m. today.
The Four Day Summit Climb May 27 - 30, 2011 made their summit bid this morning but were forced to turn around at 13,800' due to poor visibility. The team is descending to Camp Muir and will be making their way back to Paradise by early afternoon.
