Mt. Rainier: Four Day Summit Climb Teams on Top!

Today’s Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guides Casey Grom and Geoff Schellens reached the summit of Mt. Rainier around 7:30 am. Casey reported winds up to 30 mph and clear skies. The teams will spend some time on the summit before beginning their descent. We look forward to seeing the teams in Ashford later today. Congratulations climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Summit Climb Reaches Summit

The Four Day Summit Climb teams led by RMI Guides Jake Beren and Mike King reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams began their descent from the summit shortly after 8:30 a.m. They will descend to Camp Muir for a short break before continuing their descent to Paradise. We look forward to greeting them in Ashford later today. Congratulations Climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Teams Summit

RMI Guides Adam Knoff and Walter Hailes led the Four Day Summit Climb team to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The team reached the summit in gusty winds. We look forward to greeting the teams at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon when the finish descending. Congratulations climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Muir Seminar Summits!

RMI Guides Elias de Andres Martos and Ben Liken led the Expedition Skills Seminar - Muir to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams reached the crater shortly before 8:00 a.m. Elias reported beautiful weather, a cloud deck at 7,500', chilly temperatures, and a light breeze. The team will spend a little time on the summit before beginning their descent to Camp Muir. The Seminar will spend tonight at Camp Muir and descend back to Ashford tomorrow. Congratulations to this week's seminar team!

The Mt. Rainier Four Day Summit Climb teams led by RMI Guides Jake Beren and Geoff Schellens reached the summit crater around 7:45 a.m. Jake reported light winds and pleasant conditions. The teams spent about an hour on the summit before beginning their descent just after 9:00 a.m. We look forward to seeing all of the climbers back in Ashford later today.

The Four Day Summit Climb team for May 18 - 21, 2016, led by RMI Guides Elias de Andres-Martos and Kel Rossiter, reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams only spent a short amount of time on the crater rim before starting their descent to Camp Muir. The teams will continue their descent to Paradise and return to Rainier BaseCamp later today. Congratulations to today's Summit Climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Expedition Skills Seminar Completes Their Training

The May 15 - 20 Expedition Skills Seminar - Muir teams finished up their training at Camp Muir this morning. With a successful summit climb on Wednesday the teams spent yesterday working on crevasse rescue training. Today they packed up and left Camp Muir shortly before 11 am headed for Paradise. We look forward to seeing them later today. Congratulations to the Seminar Teams!

Mt. Rainier: Muir Seminar Team Reaches Summit!

We made it to the summit! It was a long day involving a lot of new route finding and high winds. The team did great! We are resting and refueling at Camp Muir and will be finishing up the remaining training tomorrow and Friday! RMI Guides Seth Waterfall, Walter Hailes and Team!

Mt. Rainier: Muir Seminar Training at Ingraham Flats

The Expedition Skills Seminar - Muir is enjoying wonderful weather on Mt. Rainier today. The team is spending the day training at Ingraham Flats at 11,200'. Ingraham Flats is a relatively flat section (hence the name) of the Ingraham Glacier that climbing parties often use for a camp when climbing Mt. Rainier. The team will head back to Camp Muir for their second night on the mountain.

Mt. Rainier: Muir Seminar Heads Up

The RMI Expedition Skills Seminar - Muir led by RMI Guides Seth Waterfall and Walter Hailes checked in on their way to Camp Muir today. After climbing through the cloud deck, the team enjoyed blue skies the rest of the way to camp. The seminar teams will spend the rest of the week training at Camp Muir and will make a summit attempt from Camp Muir later in the week.
