Mt. Rainier: August 7th Update

The Mt. Rainier Summit Climb teams, led by Brent Okita and Walter Hailes, reached the summit at 7:00 a.m. The winds were 20-25 mph and a clear day. They are currently descending to Camp Muir. The Expedition Skills Seminar - Kautz, led by Garrett Stevens, is currently on the summit reaching the top via the Kautz Glacier Route. Congratulations to today's teams!

Mt. Rainier: Four & Five Day Summit Climbs Reach the Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb team led by RMI Guide JJ Justman and the Five Day Summit Climb team led by RMI Guide Leon Davis reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams reported clear skies with 15-20 mph winds. The teams will descend to Camp Muir and take a short break before continuing their descent to Paradise. We look forward to seeing the teams back at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon. Congratulations to today's Summit Climb teams!

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Summit Climb Team on the Summit

The Four Day Summit Climb August 2 - 5, 2014 with climbers from Eddie Bauer and led by RMI Guide Solveig Waterfall reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Solveig reported light winds and great weather. As of 7:20 am the team was reaching the top of Disappointment Cleaver on their descent. Congratulations to today's summit climb team!

Mt. Rainier: Four & Five Day Summit Climbs Reach the Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Seth Waterfall along with the Five Day Summit Climb led by Lindsay Fixmer reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams enjoyed some time on the summit with clear skies enjoying the views. The team began their descent and as of 7:45 am were on the top of Disappointment Cleaver en route to Camp Muir. The teams will take a short break to repack their gear and then start the final descent to Paradise. We look forward to seeing the teams at Rainier BaseCamp later today. Congratulations to today's Summit Climb teams!

Mt. Rainier: August 3rd Summit

RMI Guide Zeb Blais and the Four Day Summit Climb reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Zeb reported light winds while on the summit. The team departed the crater rim around 7:30 am and is making their descent to Camp Muir where they will pack up before continuing their descent. We look forward to seeing the team in Ashford this afternoon. Congratulations Climbers!

The Mt. Rainier summit climbs, led by Walter Hailes and Solveig Waterfall, reached the summit this morning. They reported 15-20 mph winds and were descending through a light cap over the mountain. The teams began their descent at 7:30 a.m.

Mt. Rainier: Teams on the Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Mike Walter reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning around 6:30 am. The Expedition Skills Seminar - Paradise led by Leon Davis also made a successful climb to the summit today after several days of training on the mountain. Both teams began their descent around 7:30 after enjoying the sunrise and views from the crater for almost an hour. The teams will return to Camp Muir for a short break and to re-pack their gear before continuing the descent to Paradise. We look forward to seeing both teams in Ashford later today. Congratulations to today's climbers!

Mt. Rainier:  Teams on Top via Emmons and Disappointment Cleaver Routes

The Four Day Summit Climbs led by RMI Guides Garrett Stevens and Win Whittaker reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. The teams reported cool temperatures, winds 20 mph and clear skies. They began their descent from the summit at 7 am en route to Camp Muir. They will take a short break there before continuing down to Paradise. The Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons led by RMI Guide Geoff Schellens also made their summit push today. Geoff and team were also beginning their descent from the crater rim around 7 am. They will return to Camp Schurman for their final night on the mountain. Congratulations to today's climbers!

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Billy Nugent and the Five Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Zeb Blais reached the summit of Mt. Rainier earlier this morning. The team has descended safely to Camp Muir where they will pack up before continuing their descent to Paradise. We look forward to greeting the teams when they arrive in Ashford later this afternoon. The Four Day Summit Climb teams July 26 - 29, 2014 led by RMI Guides Pete Van Deventer and Walter Hailes reached the summit of Mt. Rainier at 6:45 a.m with climbers from Wilderness Ventures. The teams reported light winds and great route conditions. They started their descent from the crater rim around 7:45 am. The teams will return to Camp Muir and then continue to Paradise later this afternoon. Congratulations to today's Summit Climb Teams!
