Mt. Rainier: Pattison Leads His Team to the Summit

The Five Day Summit Climb, led by RMI Guide Sid Pattison, made a successful ascent to the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. As they stood on the crater of this mighty volcano, the climbers found themselves in a cloud cap with strong winds. Around 8:30 AM, they were initiating their descent.

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Summit Climb Turns Due to High Winds

The Five Day Summit Climb team turned at Ingraham Flats this morning due to high winds with strong gusts up to 50 MPH.  RMI Guide Sid Pattison and team have spend two days on Mt. Rainier, during that time they have experienced some light snow fall and windy conditions.  The team will be starting their descent from Camp Muir at around 9 am this morning and arrive here at RMI Basecamp early this afternoon.

Mt. Rainier: July 20th Five Day Summit Climb - Summit!

The Five Day Summit Climb Team Led by RMI Guide Sid Pattison reached the Summit of Mt. Rainier today.  The team has enjoyed two days on the mountain and this morning climb into clear skies, winds of 20 - 25 mph and cool temperatures. The team has started their descent and are en route to Camp Muir.

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Summit Climb Reaches Summit

The Five Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Sid Pattison reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Sid reported cold, clear and breezy skies on the summit. The team began their descent at 7:30 a.m. We look forward to seeing them in Ashford later this afternoon.

Mt. Rainier: July 12th Summit!

RMI Guides Pete Van Deventer, Sid Pattison and the Moondance Adventures Team reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning.  The team was walking off the Crater Rim at 8:35 am. Pete & Sid reported light winds and light snow as they moved through the cloud cap at the top of the mountain.

Forbidden Peak: Davis & Team Summit!

RMI Guides Leon Davis and Sid Pattison led their team to the summit of Forbidden Peak via the West Ridge today. Leon reported great but hot weather during the climb. They also enjoyed a quiet route with only one other party climbing today.

Mt. Rainier: June 11th Summit!

Today’s Mt. Rainier Summit Climbs, led by Seth Waterfall and Sid Pattison, reached the summit early this morning. The weather report was beautiful skies and winds about 35-40 mph from the Northeast.  Both teams began their descent back to Camp Muir at 7:15 am PT.

Congratulations, Everyone.  Keith Miller . . . I’m sure you were there on the top doing the happy dance.  I hope so.  I made it to the top of Rainier in 2010 with Set and Solveig—you were in good hands my friend.  Wished I had been there with you.
