Mt. Rainier: RMI Guide Brent Okita Sets Record with 520 Climbs

Today marks the 520th time that RMI Guide Brent Okita has reached the summit of Mt. Rainier. Brent now holds the record for the most successful summit climbs to the 14,410’ peak. The previous record holder was IMG co-owner and guide George Dunn. We are excited for Brent to be holding this record and we will be celebrating Brent and his amazing accomplishment!

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Summit Climb on the Top!

RMI Guide Brent Okita led the Four Day Summit Climb July 1 - 4, 2017 to the summit of Mt. Rainier today. Brent reported clear skies with moderate winds and nice climbing conditions. The team spent some time on the summit enjoying the views and celebrating the 520th summit of Mt. Rainier for Brent Okita. The team will return to Camp Muir and continue their descent to Paradise later this afternoon. Congratuions to today's Summit Climb Team and to RMI Guide Brent Okita!

Mt. Rainier: Seminar Team Reaches Summit via Kautz Glacier

Our Expedition Skills Seminar - Kautz June 30 - 5 July has enjoyed sunshine and clear skies during their time on Mt. Rainier. Today they made their summit attempt via the Kautz Glacier and stood on the summit of Mt. Rainier around 7:30 am. RMI Guide Jake Beren reported good conditions and light winds. The team will return to their High Camp today and spend a final night on the mountain. Tomorrow they will pack up camp and descend to Paradise. Congratulations to today's Kautz Seminar Team!

The Four Day Summit Climb June 30 - 3 July reached the summit of Mt. Rainier under clear skies and nice temperatures led by RMI Guide Zeb Blais. The team was beginning their decent from the crater rim at 7 am. They will return to Camp Muir and then continue to Paradise. We look forward to seeing them at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon. Congratulations to today's climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Summit Climb on the Summit!

RMI Guide Solveig Waterfall and the Five Day Summit Climb June 29 - 3 July, reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Solveig reported a windy day with nice and clear weather. The team started their descent from the crater rim at 7 am. They will return to Camp Muir and descend to Paradise later this afternoon. Congratulations to today's Summit Climb team!

Mt. Rainier: July 2nd SUMMIT!

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Casey Grom and his entire team reached to summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Casey reported that the route and the weather are about as good as it gets. The team has started their descent and are en route to Camp Muir! Congratulations to today's team and 100% on top!

Mt. Rainier: July 1st Update

RMI teams, led by Pete Van Deventer and Chase Nelson, reached the Mt. Rainier summit at 5:45 a.m. The weather is nice and at 7:05 a.m. the teams were at High Break on their descent. Congratulations to today's summit climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Okita, Dale & Teams Summit with Perfect Weather

RMI Guide Brent Okita called from the Mt. Rainier crater rim with the news, "We are on the summit on a Bluebird Day!" Clear skies, no wind, and views for miles- can't beat a summit like that. The teams spent an hour on top before starting their descent at 7:00 a.m.

RMI Guides Win Whittaker and Paul Rachele lead their teams of ALA Climbers to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Win reported light winds, mild temperatures and an overall beautiful day. The teams began their descent from the crater rim shortly before 7 am. They will return to Camp Muir and then continue to Paradise. We look forward to celebrating with them at Rainier BaseCamp later today.

Mt. Rainier: Emmons Seminar Reaches the Summit!

The Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons team, led by Zeb Blais, radioed from Columbia Crest on the summit of Mt. Rainier. They are starting their descent and will stay at Camp Schurman tonight. Tomorrow morning the team will pack up and head back to the White River Campground. We look forward to congratulating them back at Rainier Basecamp tomorrow afternoon.
