Mt. Rainier: August 8th Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Leon Davis Reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Leon reported weather coming in from the southwest this morning forming a cap on the summit, so their stay on top was brief. The team has started their descent and are en route to Camp Muir. Congratulations to today's team!

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Summit Climb Reaches Summit

The Five Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Christina Dale reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Christina reported cold temperatures and windy conditions on the summit. The team began their descent to Camp Muir shortly after 8:00 a.m. PDT. The Five Day Summit Climb team will spend one more night at Camp Muir before returning to Ashford tomorrow afternoon. Way to climb!

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Summit Climb Summits!

RMI Guide JJ Justman and the Four Day Summit Climb team reached the summit of Mt. Rainier under cold and gusty conditions. The team began their descent shortly after 8:00 a.m. PDT. On their descent, the team will stop at Camp Muir to rest and repack before continuing their descent to Paradise. They will return to Ashford and Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon. Congratulations!

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Summit Climb Teams on Top!

The Four Day Summit Climb Teams for August 3 - 6, 2016 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. RMI Guide Pepper Dee reported from the crater that they enjoyed clear skies with a slight breeze and great climbing conditions. The teams began their descent from the crater rim shortly before 8 am. Climbers will continue down to Paradise later this afternoon and return to Rainier BaseCamp in Ashford to celebrate their success. Congratulations to today's Summit Climb Teams!

The Four Day Summit Climb team, led by Seth Waterfall and Katrina Bloemsma, reached the top of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Seth reported clear skies and moderate winds from the west. After a successful summit yesterday, Ben Liken and the Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons will return to Rainier Basecamp this afternoon.

Mt. Rainier: Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons Summit!

The Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. RMI Guide Ben Liken Reported that the team was 100% to the summit today with a total round trip climb time of 11 hours. They plan to practice some crevasse rescue this afternoon back at Camp Schurman and then do a bit of training tomorrow morning before returning to Ashford Basecamp. Congratulations to the Emmons Team!

This was pretty much the most fun I’ve ever had doing anything. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end, and I am happy I got to share this experience with such a great group of people. To the guides: I am thoroughly impressed by your professionalism, knowledge and patience. If I could have you guys on every climb I do going forward, I would.

Mt. Rainier: Leon Davis, Solveig Waterfall and Teams Summit!

RMI Guide Leon Davis and the Mt. Rainier Summit Climb teams checked in at 7:00 a.m. They were at 13,000' on their descent and Leon reported that it was really nice day on the mountain.

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Summit Climb Turns Due to High Winds

The Five Day Summit Climb team turned at Ingraham Flats this morning due to high winds with strong gusts up to 50 MPH. RMI Guide Sid Pattison and team have spend two days on Mt. Rainier, during that time they have experienced some light snow fall and windy conditions. The team will be starting their descent from Camp Muir at around 9 am this morning and arrive here at RMI Basecamp early this afternoon. Congratulations to today's team!

Mt. Rainier: August 3rd Update

The Mt. Rainier Summit Climb, led by JJ Justman, made the decision to turn early this morning. With winds gusts reaching 50 mph and new snow, the team spun at Ingraham Flats (11,200'). Safe and sound back at Camp Muir, they will eat some breakfast before the begin their descent back to Paradise.

Mt. Rainier: Reid & Team Summit Mt. Rainier

RMI Guide Tyler Reid and the Four Day Summit Climb July 30 - 2 August reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. The team reported cold and windy temperatures but clear skies about 8,500'. The team will return to Camp Muir for a short break before continuing down to Paradise this afternoon. We will look them at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon as they celebrate their accomplishment. Congratulations to today's Summit Climb team!
