Mt. Rainier: July 2nd Update

The summit climbs, led by Jake Beren and Paul Maier, successfully summitted Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams began their decent at 7:45 AM, reporting clouds above and below them.

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Summit Climbs Reach the Summit

RMI Guide Steve Gately radioed in from the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams enjoyed a beautiful morning with light winds. At 7:00 am PT both Four Day Summit Climb teams June 28 - 1 July, 2016 were beginning their descent from the crater rim.

Mt. Rainier: June 30th Summit on the Kautz Route

The Expedition Skills Seminar - Kautz led by RMI Guide Casey Grom reached the summit of Mt. Rainier via the Kautz route early this morning. Casey reported that the Kautz route is in great shape and it was a beautiful day of climbing for the team. They will spend another night on the mountain training before returning to Ashford. Congratulations to today's team!

Mt. Rainier: June 30th Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guides Billy Nugent and Paul Rachele reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Billy reported beautiful skies above the marine layer that has been hanging around the lower elevations. The teams have started their descent and will be back here at Rainier Basecamp this afternoon. Congratulations to today's teams!

Mt. Rainier: June 29th Five Day Summit Climb - SUMMIT!

The Five Day Summit Climb Team led by RMI Guide Mike Uchal reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Yesterday in preparation for their summit attempt Mike and the team enjoyed a short hike to Ingraham Flats. They have had great weather while on the mountain and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise from the top today! Congratulations to today's team!

Hi! I have done one day of ice climbing basic skills in Iceland in 2016. I am interested in the 4 day or 5 day rainier summit trip. I was wondering if Ed Viestrus and Peter Whittaker are still taking people up there? if so, which dates?

Mt. Rainier: King & Team Summit via the Emmons Route

The Five Day Emmons Climb led by RMI Guide Mike King reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning via the Emmons Glacier Route. It's a beatiful day with little wind and clear skies. After spending some time on the summit the team started their descent around 6:30 am PT, they will return to high camp for their final night on the mountain. Congratulations!

We have teams on the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning! RMI Guide Walter Hailes led his Four Day Summit climb to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Walter was approaching the crater rim just before 7 am and reported a beautiful day with light winds. Congratulations to today's climbers!

The Mt. Rainier Summit Climb teams, led by RMI Guides Brent Okita and Zeb Blais, reached the top this morning. Winds were in the 10-15 mph range and beautiful, sunny skies. After spending some time on the summit, the teams began their descent at 7:00 a.m.

Our Four Day Summit Climb teams led by RMI Guides Tyler Jones & Paul Rachele reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams enjoyed clear skies and beautiful views from the top today. As of 7:30 am the teams were back to the top of Disappointment Cleaver on their descent. They will return to Camp Muir and then continue down to Paradise. Congratulations to today's Summit Climb teams!
