The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Mike Walter reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. Mike reported broken clouds in the valley and clear skies above Paradise with light winds from the southwest. The team has started their descent and are now en route back to Camp Muir. Congratulations to today's team!

RMI Guides Billy Nugent and Eric Frank led their Four Day Summit Climbs to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Billy reported lots of climbers on the route and light winds. The teams are enjoying some time on the summit before beginning their descent. We look forward to seeing the teams in Ashford this afternoon. Congratulations climbers!

RMI Guides Elias de Andres Martos and Kel Rossiter led our Summit Climb teams to the top of Mount Rainier this morning. Their views spanned out to Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams and other peaks in the Cascade Mountains. Both teams began their descent after 8:15 a.m. Congratulations Summit Climb Teams!

At 7:10 a.m. RMI Guide Brent Okita radioed from the top of Columbia Crest, the highest point in Washington! There were 30 – 35 mph winds this morning and nice weather. The cloud deck is below Camp Muir. The teams will spend some time on the summit before starting their descent. RMI Guide Pete Van Deventer and his Expeditions Skills Seminar - Emmons will be traveling back to Rainier Base Camp later today.

7:05 a.m. PT Peter Whittaker, Ed Viesturs, and Zeb Blais called in after their successful Mount Rainier summit! The teams ascended the Disappointment Cleaver Route in chilly temperatures, winds about 30 mph, and clear skies. Their ascent took 5 ½ hours. Congratulations to today's summit climbers! Update 10:33 a.m. PT Pete Van Deventer called from the Mount Rainier summit! At 10:20 a.m. the Expedition Skills Seminar team reached the top via the Emmons Glacier Route. They will spend some time taking in the summit views before descending back to Camp Schurman. We look forward to congratulating them in person tomorrow when they descend off the mountain.

RMI Guide Tyler Reid and the Four Day Summit Climb August 1 - 4, 2015 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Tyler reported light winds from the North and a beautiful day to be on the mountain. The team began their descent from the crater rim at 7:25 am PST. They will return to Camp Muir for a quick break and to repack gear before continuing down to Paradise. We look forward to seeing them at Rainier BaseCamp later today. Congratulations to the team!

All teams were descending from the crater rim as of 7:50 am PST this morning. The teams will return to Camp Muir for a short time and then continue down to Paradise. The Four Day Summit Climb teams led by RMI Guides Win Whittaker and Elias de Andres Martos reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Win reported hazy skies and a light wind. The teams are on their descent from the summit en route to Camp Muir. Once at Camp Muir the climbers will repack their gear and continue their descent to Paradise. Today's climbers have spent the last several months raising money for The American Lung Association in Washington's Climb for Clean Air. Congratulations to the climbers for their efforts of fundraising, training and climbing!

Jeff, we are sure the sights make all the training worthwhile.  Hayden was sure she saw you on the mountain last night when we viewed it from the Wallmart Parking Lot and Indi recognized your green eyes in the photo.

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Lindsay Mann called from the crater rim at 7:30 am as they were ready to begin their descent. Lindsay reported a beautiful day with a light breeze. The ESS-Paradise led by Ben Liken was also leaving the summit to return to Camp Muir. Both teams will continue their descent to Paradise this afternoon. Congratulations to today's climbers!
