Mt. Rainier: August 30th Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Mike King reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. The team climbed into a cap, and had boot deep snow above 13,000'. They spent a short time on the summit before starting their descent. Congratulations to Today's Team!

Mt. Rainier: Expedition Skills Seminar - Paradise Team Summits!

A week of training and practicing mountaineering techniques has paid off, and the Expedition Skills Seminar - Paradise team reached the Summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. RMI Guide Dustin Whittmier reported a touch and go summit this morning as the team climb into a cap with fresh snow above 13,000'. They are on the descent and will be back in paradise this afternoon. Congratulations Team!

Mt. Rainier: Five Day Teams Reach Summit

The Five Day Climb August 25 - 29 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier on Wednesday evening. RMI Guides Pete Van Deventer and Josh McDowell reported a light breeze and clear skies. The weather at Camp Muir this morning is cloudy with a soaking rain. The team is hoping the rain dissipates for their departure and walk down the Muir Snowfield to Paradise. The team will celebrate their adventure in Ashford later today and conclude their program. Congratulations to the Five Day Climber!

Mt. Rainier: Beautiful but Chilly Day on the Upper Mountain

It's another beautiful day with clear skies and light winds on the upper flanks of Mt. Rainier. RMI Guides Casey Grom and Leon Davis led their Four Day Climb August 24 - 27 to the summit this morning. The teams enjoyed the views and took photos for almost an hour before starting their descent from the crater rim. They will conclude their adventure this afternoon with a celebration of their accomplishments. Congratulations to today's climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Frank, Konway & Teams Reach Summit on Beautiful Day

RMI Guide Eric Frank thinks it's a beautiful day to climb Mt. Rainier. Eric along with RMI Guide Jenny Konway and the Four Day Climb August 23 -26 reached the summit just before 7 AM today. The team reported clear skies but with strong winds from the top of Disappointment Cleaver to the summit. The teams enjoyed almost an hour in the crater enjoying the views before starting their descent. Once back at Camp Muir they will repack and get ready for the final descent to Paradise. Their program will conclude with a celebration at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon. Congratulations to today's climbers!

Mt. Rainier: Windy Day on the Upper Mountain for Four Day Climb Teams

RMI Guide Brent Okita reported windy conditions on Mt. Rainier from High Break to the summit crater. The teams spent a little time to make any clothing adjustments, get a bit of food and water and then started their descent from the crater rim around 7:30 AM. We look forward to seeing all the climbers at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon. Congratulations to all climbers!

Mt. Rainier: August 24th Summit!

The Four Day Climb Teams led by RMI Guides Mike King and JT Schmitt reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Mike reported clear skies with wind gusts of 45 mph and sustained winds at 35 mph. The teams have started their descent and are en route back to Camp Muir. Congratulations to today's teams!

The Four Day Climb led by RMI Guides Robby Young and Leon Davis were standing on the summit of Mt. Rainier at 7 AM PT today. Robby reported a beautiful warm day of climbing with a light breeze. The team will spend some time on the Summit before starting their descent. Congratulations to today's teams!

Mt. Rainier: Grom, Gorum & Teams Above the Clouds, Reach Summit

Unless you are at Camp Muir, 10,080', this morning you most likely can't see Mt. Rainier. Fortunately for the Four Day Climb August 19 - 22, that's exactly where they were. With a little patience, improving weather and a bit later start from Camp Muir the Climb teams were able to reach the summit shortly after 7:15 AM today. RMI Guide Casey Grom reported light winds and clear skies about 7,200'. Congratulations to today's Summit Climb team!

Mt. Rainier: Okita, Hoch and Teams Summit on Windy Day

The Four Day Climb August 18 - 21 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier on a windy morning. RMI Guides Brent Okita and Joe Hoch and the summit climb teams spent a short amount of time at the crater as the winds are increasing. They will continue their descent to Paradise and return to Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon. Congratulations to today's climbers!
