Mt. Rainier: Gately & Team Reach Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb July 20 - 23 led by RMI Guide Steve Gately reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning around 6:30 AM PT. The team radioed from Columbia Crest at 7:10 AM. It's a beautiful day with warm temperatures and clear skies. The team will return to Camp Muir and continue to Paradise. We look forward to seeing them this afternoon at Rainier BaseCamp. Congratulations to today's Summit Climbers!

Forbidden Peak: Walter & Team Summit Sahale, Sharkfin Tower, & Forbidden Peak

RMI Guide Mike Walter and team climbed both Sahale and Sharkfin Tower yesterday. The team reported great climbing and 100% to the top for the two peaks! Today, the team climbed Forbidden Peak by its iconic and classic West Ridge and were standing on the summit at 10:20 this morning. Way to go team!

Mt. Rainier: Dale & Team Turn Due to Route Conditions

The Four Day Summit Climb July 19 - 22 led by RMI Guide Christina Dale was unable to reach the summit of Mt. Rainier today due to route conditions. The team is currently descending to Camp Muir. They will spend a bit of time at Camp Muir before continuing to Paradise later this morning.

Fisher Chimneys: Blais & Team Make it 100% to the Top!

Saturday, July 20, 2018 - 1:50PM PT RMI Guide Zeb Blais checked in from the Fisher Chimney's route of Mt. Shuksan today. The team had just made it back to high camp after a summit day with 100% success! They reported beautiful conditions and good climbing. They will spend tonight at high camp and descend back to the trail-head tomorrow. Congratulations Climbers!

Friday, July 20, 2018 We made it to High Camp on Mt. Shuksan Fisher Chimneys route and the crew is feeling great. There is more snow up here than I've ever seen! Mt. Rainier: Four Day Summit Climb Teams on the Summit!

RMI Guides Casey Grom and Jenny Konway led their Four Day Summit Climb teams to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams reached the crater rim around 7 AM PT. Casey reported good conditions and moderate winds. After enjoying the views from the summit the teams will descend to Camp Muir and then continue down to Paradise. Congratulations to today's climbers!

Mt. Rainier: July 20th Teams on Top!

The Four Day Summit Climb Teams led by RMI Guides Steve Gately and Kel Rossiter reached the summit of Mt. Rainier at 6:30 AM PST. The team climbed above the clouds and were rewarded with clear skies, cool temperatures and winds of 20 mph. The Team is on their descent and en route back to Camp Muir. Mt. Rainier: The Emmons Seminar 100% Summit Success!

RMI Guide JM Gorum led his Emmons Seminar team to the top of Mt. Rainier this morning. The team was 100% to the top! They will be on the summit for photos and taking in the surrounding vistas prior to starting their descent. The team has been training on Mt. Rainier all week and will end their seminar tomorrow. Congratulations to JM and his team!

Mt. Rainier: ALA Climb for Clean Air Reaches the Summit!

The Four Day Summit Climb Led by RMI Guides Win Whittaker and Hannah McGowan reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Win reported cooler temperatures and winds of 20 - 25 mph. This team spends all year training together and raising funds for the American Lung Association's Climb for Clean Air. Funds raised by participants supports the American Lung Association’s mission of saving lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Congratulations to today's Climb for Clean Air Team!

We are standing on top of Mt. Baker after ascending the North Ridge. 100% of our team summited! The weather is beautiful with light winds and clear skies. We will begin our descent back to camp shortly. RMI Guide Mike Walter
