The Four Day Summit Climb July 29 - 1 August led by RMI Guides Eric Frank, Hannah Smith and Dustin Wittmier reached the summit of Mt. Rainier around 5 am this morning. The team enjoyed the views from the crater before beginning their descent. They will take a short break at Camp Muir before continuing down to Paradise.

RMI Guide Jess Matthews and the Five Day Summit Climb team July 27 - 31, 2017 made an early start for the summit and reached the crater rim at 5:30 am. The team enjoyed blue skies and minimal wind on a beautiful day. The team spent an hour on top before starting their descent. The team will return to the trail head at Paradise and then continue to Rainier BaseCamp in Ashford.

RMI Guide Mike King was on top at 5:00 a.m. this morning. The warm temperatures are making for early alpine starts as the team left
Mt. Rainier's crater rim at 6:00 a.m. They are progressing well on their descent back to Camp Muir.

Expedition Skills Seminar - Paradise Glacier, led by
RMI Guide Pepper Dee, has had a spectacular week of training. With the many skills they learned, the team topped off their week with a bluebird summit day. Warm temperatures and a light breeze have followed them all week and continues as they descend from the Mt. Rainier summit.

Robby Young led his team to the summit of
Mt. Rainier this morning. The forecasted freezing level of 14,500' rang true and the team topped out with warm temperatures, no clouds and endless views. Their descent began about 7:00 a.m. and we look forward to congratulating them this afternoon.
The
Four Day Summit Climb teams, led by
Dave Hahn and
Mike Uchal, were on top of Mt. Rainier by 7:30 AM this morning. The team had clear skies and moderate winds, a perfect day to be on the highest point in Washington.

After a few days of training on the upper slopes of Mt. Rainier, the
Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons team led by RMI Guide Walter Hailes reached the summit via the Emmons Glacier, the largest glacier in the contiguous U.S. The team has started their descent and will spend one more night on the mountain before returning to Rainier Basecamp tomorrow.

The Five Day Summit Climb Team led by RMI Guide Jenny Konway reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Jenny reported great climbing conditions and beautiful weather. The team has started their descent and are headed back to Camp Muir, and will be back at Paradise this afternoon.
