RMI Guides Dan May and Mike Bennet led their Four Day Climb August 5 - 8 to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Skies are clear with a light breeze. The teams were able to spend some time in the crater before starting their descent from the crater rim around 7 am. They will return to Camp Muir, take a short break and then continue down to Paradise.

The Four Day Climb led by Dustin Wittmier and Dan May reached the summit early this morning. Dustin reported 30 mph winds and sun on the Summit. As the team has started their descent it has gotten quite hazy and clouds are rolling in.

The Five Day Climb July 25 - 29 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today around 5 am led by RMI Guide Dave Hahn. The team is currently on their descent. Once they reach Camp Muir they will have a short break to repack and refuel for the remaining 4,500' descent to Paradise. This is the first RMI team to summit via the newly established route. A BIG thank you to all the route workers over the last several days!
Congratulations to today's climbers!
Great job !

RMI Guides Dan May and Mac Nolde summitted Mt. Baker with our Footprints of Fight team right at sunset. They enjoyed beautiful couple of days training and honing their mountaineering skills at the base of an iconic peak in the Cascades.
Congrats team!

The Mt. Rainier Four Day Climb led by RMI Guide Daniel May called Ingraham Flats their high point this morning. While route conditions prevented the team from climbing higher, they spent time at 11,200' watching the sunrise over Eastern Washington and the Cascades. We look forward to welcoming the team back to Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon.

The Kautz Seminar June 23 - 28 led by RMI Guides Mike Walter, Daniel May, Raymond Holt and Felipe Guarderas have enjoyed their week of training, climbing and learning. Conditions on the mountain did not allow them to make a summit attempt but the team was all in for the training they could complete and maybe had a little fun in the process.
Thanks for sharing your time with us in the mountains!

Hello again from 17,000' Camp. The views up here have been rewarding. Our camp is settled above the clouds and other Alaska range peaks. We went to bed early last night with high hopes of getting up for our final summit push. Unfortunately we awoke to less than ideal winds at camp and windy spindrifts on Denali Pass. We started the day with breakfast and hot drinks in our tents to stay out of the elements and have been hunkered down to avoid the cold winds. We’re patient, we’re staying warm and we’re very motivated for another attempt tomorrow!
