The Custom Four-Day Climb was unable to climb due to deteriorating route conditions. Instead, the enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at Ingraham Flats. They are currently at Camp Muir. They will descend back to Paradise later this morning and be back in Ashford this afternoon.
The Four-Day climb led by RMI guide Joe Hoch was unable to climb the route on their summit attempt due to deterioriating route conditions. They have returned to Camp Muir and will start their descent back to Paradise later this morning.

The Four Day Climb July 24 - 27 led by RMI Guide Dominic Cifelli turned around 13,000' due to high winds and a cloud cap above them. The team is enroute to Camp Muir and after a short break will continue down to Paradise later today.

The four-day climbing teams, led by Nikki Champion and Mike Bennett, reached the crater rim just before 7:20 a.m. this morning. After a brief touch-and-go at the summit, the team reported clear skies and a windy ascent.
The teams are now descending to Camp Muir, where they will reset, pack their gear, and continue down to the trailhead. They are expected to return to Ashford later this afternoon, concluding a successful four-day climb.
Way to go, climbers!

The Four Day Climb led by RMI Guides Mike King and George Hedreen turned around shortly after departing Camp Muir early this morning due to high winds. According to RMI Guide Mike King, wind gusts reached up to 70 mph.
The team has begun its descent and is expected to return to Rainier Basecamp in Ashford, Washington, early this afternoon.
The custom Four-Day climb led by RMI guide Joe Hoch enjoyed 100% summit success this morning! They reached the crater around 7am and are currently on their descent back to Camp Muir. They will return to Ashford this afternoon.

The Four-Day climb enjoyed summit success this morning, with 100% of the teams making it to the top! RMI guides Will Ambler and Jack Ritterson led them to the summit around 7am. They are currently on their descent back to Camp Muir and will return to Ashford this afternoon.

The Five Day Kautz Climb, led by RMI Guide Henry Coppolillo, climbed to the top of the Kautz Ice Chute this morning and continued to approximately 13,000 feet before determining that overnight rain had significantly deteriorated the route conditions. With safety as the top priority, the team made the decision to turn around and begin their descent.
The climbers will return to camp, spend one final night on the mountain, and complete their descent to the Paradise trailhead tomorrow, concluding their five-day adventure.

A thunder and lightning storm rolled through the area yesterday evening which kept the Four Day Climb July 20 - 23 from making their summit attempt. The teams led by RMI Guides Mike Bennett and Sam Hoffman were able to ascend to Ingraham Flats around 8 am to see a bit of the route and use their glacier travel skills. They will descend from Camp Muir later this morning.







Despite not summiting, this was an awesome experience made even more special by the awesome RMI team!
