The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Casey Grom and his entire team reached to summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Casey reported that the route and the weather are about as good as it gets. The team has started their descent and are en route to Camp Muir! Congratulations to today's team and 100% on top!

RMI Guides Casey Grom & Paul Rachele led their Four Day Summit Climb June 5 - 8, 2017 up to Camp Muir yesterday under beautiful blue skies. Unfortunately the weather changed last night bringing rain and snow to Mt. Rainier which prevented today's climbs from making their summit attempt. The teams will descend to Paradise and return to Rainier BaseCamp later today.

The team reported it was a windy day on top but they were doing well. They will return to Camp Muir for a short break and to pack their gear before descending to Paradise this afternoon. The Four Day Summit Climb team led by RMI Guides Casey Grom and Chase Nelson reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Casey reported that the team is enjoying clear, calm and peaceful skies. The team was leaving the Crater Rim at 6:50 am and are now en route to Camp Muir. Congratulations to today's team!

Great job, everyone!  What a weekend and chance to experience something new with all of you.  My wife asks me why I do things like this and I tell her that beyond the enjoyment of being out in the world and seeing/experiencing first hand what many never will, I always learn something from it - the experience, the people and about myself.  I will remember this for a long time - thank you.

Also, I have some pictures and I’d be happy to share - if you have some good ones, I’d love to see them.  My e-mail is here.

Last but not least - hat’s off to Casey, Matt, Hannah and Taylor.  Summit or not, you helped us do what we could do and you got us home safe - that is what is most important.

The Mt. Rainier Four Day Summit Climb, led by Casey Grom and Christina Dale, turned at 12,800’ due to route conditions. The weather was mixed snow showers this morning and they received 14-18" of new snow overnight. The team is currently on their way back to Camp Muir.

Everest Base Camp Trek: Grom & Team Take in the Majestic Views on Their Trek Out

Hello again. It was a nice warm day here on our final hike to Lukla. We started early to beat the traffic and made good time, yet taking time to enjoy this peaceful and majestic place. There were still dozens of loads headed for basecamp as always, because much of the needed supplies arrive via plane or from a few days further down hill via mules. We ran into a few friends including one of RMI's finest guides Mike Haugen, headed up for his second summit. The entire team is doing well and relieved to be off of our feet for a bit. With a little luck we hope to be back in Kathmandu tomorrow morning. Keep your fingers crossed for us. RMI Guide Casey Grom and a happy crew

Everest Base Camp Trek: Grom & Team Back in Namche Bazaar

Hello again everyone! All is still well here in the Khumbu as the team members made our way back into Namche. It was a super busy day on the trail with climbers, trekkers, yaks, and porters all bound uphill to basecamp. We slowly made our way through the maze of traffic and enjoyed one last good view of Everest. Along the way we ran into several old friends from my past trips and stopped to wish everyone good luck. Tomorrow we'll be moving out early on our final leg of the journey back to Lukla. So please keep you fingers crossed we have good weather and can make our flight back to Kathmandu the following morning. RMI Guide Casey Grom and crew
