RMI Guide Casey Grom and the Four Day Summit Climb August 23 - 26 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier at 7 am today. It's a beautiful day with clear skies. The team enjoyed some time in the crater before starting their descent. After a brief stop at Camp Muir they will continue down to Paradise. Congratulations to today's Summit Climb Team!

RMI Guide Brent Okita checked in from Columbia Crest at 6:45 am today. The Four Day Summit Climb August 22 - 25 teams enjoyed a beautiful morning on their way to the summit crater of Mt. Rainier. They will spend some time soaking in the views before starting their descent. Once back at Camp Muir the teams will re-pack and continue to Paradise. Congratulations to today's climbers!

North Cascades: Elias & Team Summit on Shuksan and Baker!

Great five days in the North Cascades with two studs; Taylor and Jake came from Minnesota ready to tackle two significant objectives. Shuksan and Mt. Baker. Weather cooperated, and we did the first one from Lake Ann to Lake Ann in a stylish way. The next day, hiked out in the morning to find ourselves hiking into Baker that afternoon. Bed right away, and back at it in the early morning. The North Ridge of Baker is in usual late season conditions, and rotten ice plus intricate navigation, demanded focus and perseverance. Accomplished but tired, we hiked out yesterday as the sun still shined over the Cascades. RMI Guide Elias de Andres Martos

RMI Guides Tyler Jones and Mike King led their Four Day Summit Climb August 21 - 24 to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The cloud deck remains below Camp Muir so the team was able to enjoy clear skies during their climb and from the summit crater before starting their descent. Congratulations to today's Summit Climb teams! Thanks to all the guides for their hard work over the last few days to re-establish a route above the top of Disappointment Cleaver!

RMI Guide Steve Gately and his team checked in from the summit of Mt. Shuksan. The team ascended via the Sulphide Glacier and is back to high camp. The team will descend off the mountain tomorrow morning. Above are photos from their training yesterday. Congratulations to the team!

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Summit Climb Turns At Top of Disappointment Cleaver

The Four Day Summit Climb Team for August 20 - 23 were unable to reach the summit of Mt. Rainier today due to route conditions. RMI Guides Dave Hahn and Leon Davis led their teams to the top of Disappointment Cleaver at 12,300' which was their high point today. The teams will descend to Camp Muir and continue to Paradise later this morning.

The Four Day Summit Climb Teams led by RMI Guides Casey Grom and Caleb Ladue were forced to turn around today above the top of Disappointment Cleaver due to route conditions. The teams will descend from Camp Muir and return to Paradise this morning.
