Mt. Rainier: RMI Teams Radio from Summit on Another Beautiful Day

RMI Guides Brent Okita and Jenny Konway led the Four Day Climb September 2 - 5 teams to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Brent radioed the RMI office just after 7 AM that the teams were approaching Columbia Crest, they had reached the crater rim at 6:40 AM. It's another beautiful day on the mountain with clear skies and winds 15-20 mph. The team left the summit at 7:45 AM headed down hill. The program will conclude this afternoon with a cheers to their accomplishments.

Mt. Rainier: Frank, Young & Teams Reach Summit, Beautiful Day

RMI Guides Eric Frank & Robby Young and their teams of Four Day Climbers reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. They enjoyed some time in the crater on a beautiful morning and began their descent from the crater rim a little after 8 AM. The teams will return to Camp Muir and then continue down to Paradise. From there an RMI Shuttle will deliver them to Rainier BaseCamp. Their program will conclude with a celebration and cheers to their accomplishments over the last few days. Congratulations to today's climbers!

The Four Day Climb teams enjoyed an hour on the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning to take in the views and take all the photos. RMI Guides Steve Gately and Avery Parrinello led their teams up the Disappointment Cleaver route, which is in great condition. Weather today was a bit windy but didn't deter the teams. Climbers were descending from the crater rim around 8:20 AM en route to Camp Muir. Once back at Camp they will pack up their gear and continue down to Paradise. This afternoon they will have a celebration at Rainier BaseCamp to conclude their program. Congratulations to today's climbers.

RMI Guides Pete Van Deventer and Taylor Bickford led their Four Day Climb August 30 - 2 September teams to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Pete reported a light breeze and nice climbing conditions as the team was approaching the crater rim around 8:30 AM. After photos and high-fives on the summit the team will return to Camp Muir and continue their descent to Paradise. There program will conclude this afternoon with a celebration at Rainier BaseCamp. Congratulations to today's climbers!

The Four Day Climb August 29 - 1 September reached the summit of Mt. Rainier around 7 AM today. RMI Guides Brent Okita and Ben Ammon led the groups today. Brent reported windy conditions as they were approaching the crater rim. After enjoying the views the teams will return to Camp Muir and then continue their descent to Paradise. They will conclude their adventure at Rainier BaseCamp this afternoon and hopefully enjoy the festivities of Rainier Mountain Fest. Congratulations to today's climbers!

The Four Day Summit Climb team led by RMI Guides Casey Grom and Joe Hoch reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Casey reported a breezy day with winds of about 30 mph, chilly temperatures, a few scattered clouds, but otherwise a beautiful day. The team has started their descent an are en route to Camp Muir. Congratulations to Today's Team!

The Four Day Summit Climb led by RMI Guide Mike King reached the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. The team climbed into a cap, and had boot deep snow above 13,000'. They spent a short time on the summit before starting their descent. Congratulations to Today's Team!

A week of training and practicing mountaineering techniques has paid off, and the Expedition Skills Seminar - Paradise team reached the Summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. RMI Guide Dustin Whittmier reported a touch and go summit this morning as the team climb into a cap with fresh snow above 13,000'. They are on the descent and will be back in paradise this afternoon. The Five Day Climb August 25 - 29 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier on Wednesday evening. RMI Guides Pete Van Deventer and Josh McDowell reported a light breeze and clear skies. The weather at Camp Muir this morning is cloudy with a soaking rain. The team is hoping the rain dissipates for their departure and walk down the Muir Snowfield to Paradise. The team will celebrate their adventure in Ashford later today and conclude their program. Congratulations to the Five Day Climber!

It's another beautiful day with clear skies and light winds on the upper flanks of Mt. Rainier. RMI Guides Casey Grom and Leon Davis led their Four Day Climb August 24 - 27 to the summit this morning. The teams enjoyed the views and took photos for almost an hour before starting their descent from the crater rim. They will conclude their adventure this afternoon with a celebration of their accomplishments. Congratulations to today's climbers!
