The July 27 - 30 Four Day Climb reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning led by RMI Guide Andy Bond. Andy reported a beautiful day and a great route. The team enjoyed some time in the summit crater before starting their descent around 6:30 AM PT. Once back at Camp Muir the climbers will repack and continue down to Paradise. Congratulations to today's climbers!

The Five Day Climb led by RMI Guide Alex Halliday reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The team experienced good weather and a good route for their climb this morning. The team left the summit crater of Mt. Rainier shortly before 8:00 AM. We look forward to seeing them in Ashford this afternoon and hearing about their time on the mountain. Way to climb!

Mt. Rainier: Four Day Climb Summits with Good Weather

With good weather and a good route, RMI Guide Dave Hahn and the Four Day Climb reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The team began their descent from Mt. Rainier's summit crater around 7:30 AM. They will descend to Camp Muir to rest, refuel, and repack before continuing their descent to Paradise. We will see them in Ashford later this afternoon. Congratulations climbers!

The RMI Summit Climb team, led by Tyler Reid, is currently on the top of Mt. Rainier. A beautiful day with hardly any wind on the highest point of Washington. The team will spend some time on top before they begin their descent. Congratulations to today's summit climb team!

Mt. Rainier: Bickford, Hoch, & Team Turn At the Top of the Cleaver

The Four Day Climb Teams led by Taylor Bickford and Joe Hoch radioed down this morning to let us know that they turned at 12,300' due to high winds and deteriorating conditions on the upper mountain. The team was safely back in Camp Muir by 7:45 AM PT. After drying out a little and resting, the team will descend from Camp Muir and be back in town this afternoon.

RMI Guide Hannah Smith and the All-Women Four Day Climb reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Hannah reported sunny skies and breezy conditions on the summit. The team began their descent at 7:00 AM. The will return to Camp Muir to refuel and repack before descending back to Paradise. Congratulations climbers!

RMI Guides Win Whittaker and Josh McDowell lead their teams of American Lung Association Climbers to the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. Win reported light winds and a fabulous day on the mountain. Congratulations to today's climbers for their efforts in fundraising and supporting the ALA and for all their hardwork training for this climb! A special congratulations to Josh McDowell, today's summit is his 100th summit of Mt. Rainier!

Mt. Rainier: Gorum and Emmons Team Turn at 12,200’ due to Winds

The Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons July 20 - 25, 2019 led by RMI Guide JM Gorum made their summit attempt this morning from Camp Schurman. Unfortunately high winds forced the group back to camp after reaching 12,200'. The team has returned to high camp, Camp Schurman, and will spend their final night on the mountain. After some additional training they will return to the trailhead tomorrow and arrive back to Rainier BaseCamp tomorrow afternoon.

The Four Day Climb led by RMI Guides Mike Haugen and Bryan Mazaika reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning on a clear but windy day. The teams did not spend much time at the summit due to the winds. Once they return to Camp Muir the groups will continue their descent to Paradise. Congratulations to today's climbers!
