Entries from Mount Rainier

The Four Day Summit climb led by Brent Okita, Solveig Garhart and Dan Windham reached the top of Mt. Rainier today. The team reported clear skies and 20 mph winds. At 7:40 a.m. PT the teams were at 12,300' on their descent en route to Camp Muir.
The Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons July 3 - 8 reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning led by Mike Walter. The team will return to Camp Schurman for their final night on the mountain.

The Four and Five Day Summit Climbs reached Columbia Crest today. Beautiful day, light winds and cool temperatures. All teams are off the mountain and celebrating at Rainier Basecamp.
The Four Day Summit Climb July 2 - 5 led by Chad Peele reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. It's a beautiful day with light winds, warm temperatures and clear skies. The team began their descent from the crater rim at 8:30 a.m. en route to Camp Muir. They will return to Paradise later today.
RMI Guide Casey Grom led the Expedition Skills Seminar - Kautz July 1 - 6 to the summit today. The team reported great route conditions and a beautiful day on the mountain. This six day seminar will return to their high camp at approximately 10,000' for their final night on the mountain. The group will finish their training and descend to Paradise tomorrow afternoon.

The Four Day Summit Climb July 1 - 4 led by Tyler Jones and the Five Day Summit Climb June 30 - 4 July reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams reported light winds and clear skies. At 7:05 a.m. the teams were at 13,500' on their descent en route to Camp Muir.

The Four Day Summit Climb June 30 - 3 July reached the summit of Mt. Rainier today. The weather on the mountain was very windy and cold. The team, led by RMI Guide Billy Nugent, began their descent from the crater rim at 7:30 a.m. PT. en route to Camp Muir.

Four rope teams on the Four Day Summit Climb June 29th - July 2nd tagged the top of Mount Rainier at 6:30 a.m. By 7:40 a.m., the teams were starting the traverse at the top of Disappointment Cleaver on their descent to Camp Muir.
The teams have beautiful, bluebird weather and moderate winds. Congratulations!
Our Four Day climbs led by Brent Okita and Andres Marin stood on top of Columbia Crest at 7:20 am today. It was clear with winds at about 15 – 25 mph. It's a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest. The teams will enjoy amazing views on their descent.

The Four Day Summit Climb June 27th - 30th reached the summit of Mt. Rainer today. The teams were greeted with clear skies above 9500' and strong winds. RMI Guides Dan Windham and Tyler Jones and teams began their descent from the crater rim at 9:20am in route to Camp Muir.

The Four Day Summit Climb June 26 - 29th led by Leon Davis reached the summit of Mt. Rainier this morning. The teams reported clear skies and 25 mph winds on the summit.
Gabriel Barral and the Expedition Skills Seminar - Emmons also made the summit of Mt. Rainier today. They will return to Camp Schurman for their final night on the mountain.

The Five Day Summit Climb led by Mark Falender along with the Four Day Summit Climb led by Chad Peele were forced to turn around at the top of Disappointment Cleaver (approx. 12,300') due to high winds and poor visibility. The teams returned safely to Camp Muir and will begin their descent to Paradise around 9 a.m. PT.
